Salary: GRADE: 8 £35,745 to £38,223 FTE (pay award pending)
Location: Hybrid /Remote - Main base Leigh Court (Use of a vehicle is essential as travel to schools in Bristol/Clevedon/Bridgwater required)
Contract: Flexible – minimum 22hrs per week, maximum 37 hours per week, AYR
Term: Fixed Term to Aug 2025
The purpose of this role is to assist the finance team for an interim period in the run up to the possible merger in 2025 with another academy trust.
This role is part of a team of specialists supporting the budget management for schools and business units within the Trust. You will be required to utilise your skills to contribute to efficient and effective working practices, ensuring maximisation of funds available to support the delivery of education to our pupils.
Contributing to the long-term financial viability of the Trust, through strong and effective Financial Accounting, Financial Planning and Financial Management and Monitoring.
You will work as part of a team to deliver an excellent standard of customer service to the schools within the Trust. Maintaining the principles of value for money, regularity and propriety through effective compliance and governance, efficient working practices, identification and analysis of income and savings opportunities.
Experience in the delivery of budget setting and monthly management accounts, proven record of effective business support and the production of high-quality financial information is required. Whilst experience of education finance would be desirable, this is not essential. More importantly, you will be a self-starter, who is committed to continuous improvement with a desire to fully understand curriculum led cost drivers to help deliver value for money, whilst providing an excellent service to the leadership team within your schools and across the Trust.
