SUMMARY
Providing quality inspections of parts, products, and repairs for all products
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Perform inspections of purchased incoming parts, sub-assemblies made in house or finished company products according to criteria using standard physical, mechanical, and/or electrical measurements
- Accurately document the results of inspections and testing performed on raw materials, goods in process, and finished products
- Ensure precision of data logs and work instructions
- Coordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixtures used in the manufacturing and quality control process
- Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration
- Be familiar with microscopes, polishers, and other manufacturing and assembly processes
- Be able to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production quotas
- Assist Engineering Area with writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
- Maintain the Quality System Management (QSM), while inspecting and testing the product to uphold quality standards
- Consults with supervisor to determine appropriate recommendations and remedies for questionable products
- Performs a variety of clerical or office duties, while maintaining the core competencies of Quality Control Department with accurate records as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned by their supervisor
- Other duties may be assigned.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment
- A drive to learn and a professional skill set
- The ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
- Experience with Microsoft Suite
Preferred:
- Associates degree or technical school certification preferred
- Familiarity to read drawings/measurements
- Experience with measuring tools and microscopes

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED
1 year of manufacturing experience
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
