Quality Technician

Location: Swavesey, Cambridge
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, day shift (08:00 - 16:00, with some flexibility)

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to conduct and support our quality activities within the company. This role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and manage daily inspection workloads.
• Conduct final inspections, including visual checks and hardness testing.
• Review and approve calibration of test equipment.
• Complete production certifications as per internal and customer requirements.
• Assist with aerospace contract reviews and inward inspections.
• Support the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
• Oversee 5S initiatives and housekeeping activities.

Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in IT (database use, email, Word, Excel).
• Full UK driver's license (limited travel expected).
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Additional Duties:

• Prepare reports for the management team.
• Collaborate with Sales staff on technical production issues and pricing.
• Perform any other duties as requested by management.

Desired Skills:

• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Forklift truck license and experience in a production environment.

Working Environment:
This role is based in a production environment with exposure to heavy lifting equipment and process chemicals.

Our Research client has an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Associate to join their Strategy and Operations team and support data work stream and related activities.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support for data management and other release & compliance activities; including engaging with internal stakeholders to reach effective and timely outcomes
• Engage with and escalate to our Senior Compliance Manager to ensure minimisation of risk, to allow for specialist input, or to allow for additional support to be provided from other Subject Matter Experts

Candidate requirements:

• Previous demonstrable experience in compliance administration and/or support, preferably from within the technology and/or health care industries.
• Strong data input skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

This role is PAYE and paying up to £21.50 per hour dependant on experience with a potential 5% bonus.

You will also benefit from paid annual leave, paid sick, paid bank holidays, pension & notice period.

The contract is initially until 30th June 2025, with a maximum potential of 18 months.

This role is based on-site at our client's Cambridge office Monday - Friday each week.

This individual will play a critical role in guiding the organisation's innovative medical products through the regulatory approval process, ensuring compliance with global quality standards. Role Overview

• Lead Regulatory Strategy: Develop and execute the regulatory strategy for all products across key international markets.


• Provide Regulatory Guidance: Ensure the team is up-to-date on global regulatory changes and train team members on regulatory requirements.


• Oversee Submissions: Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory applications, including FDA approvals, UKCA, and CE marking.


• Post-Market Compliance: Ensure that post-market surveillance activities comply with all regulatory requirements.


• Manage External Relations: Serve as the key point of contact for communications with regulatory bodies, Notified Bodies, and reimbursement entities.

Additionally, the Head of Quality will manage the company's quality systems, including:

• Achieve ISO13485 Certification: Lead the process to gain and maintain ISO13485 certification, ensuring full compliance with quality standards.


• Quality Management System (QMS): Oversee the company's QMS, ensuring that all staff are trained on and adhere to quality procedures.


• Audit Leadership: Lead both internal and external audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
