About the vacancy: UWE Bristol is undertaking a major curriculum project as part of an ambitious programme of transformational activities to enhance the student experience.
We are seeking to recruit one permanent post and three 2-year fixed term posts, offering exciting opportunities to facilitate and support our project and longer term work as members of our Academic Quality and Partnerships Enhancement team.
The Academic Quality and Partnerships Enhancement team provides university-wide support for the ongoing development and review of UWE Bristol’s educational portfolio across three interconnected areas of activity:
Curriculum: supporting the design, development, approval and continuous improvement of the University’s academic programmes, including coordinating support for cross-university curriculum enhancement projects and initiatives and related evaluation activities
Standards and Accreditation: supporting oversight of regulatory compliance in relation to quality and standards and engagement with professional, statutory and regulatory bodies
Collaborative Provision: supporting the development, oversight and enhancement of the University’s UK and international academic partnerships and associated collaborative provision, including apprenticeships.
We are a very friendly, lively, informed and dedicated team. New members are welcomed and made to feel at home from the outset.
About you: We are looking for people with broad based administrative expertise and with experience of working in line with complex regulatory frameworks such as those in higher education. You will have good organisational, interpersonal, communication and IT skills. You will have experience of working with database systems, and of taking formal and informal minutes of meetings. You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to your own continuing professional development and to delivering outstanding learning and teaching for our students.
As a Quality Administrator you will be able to balance effectively a range of responsibilities in a flexible and proactive manner, using your initiative and working with a variety of stakeholders across and outside of the University. A team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, you will thrive in a demanding yet rewarding environment and will make an enthusiastic contribution to the Academic Quality and Partnerships Enhancement Team and to Student and Academic Services more widely.
