The role:
As a Quality Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be focussed on the Clean Energy Business in the UK, as well as providing support to our International Business both in Japan and the USA.
Day-to-day, you'll develop an appropriate quality strategy for their business area, gaining agreement and sponsorship from the senior management team and in alignment with the Cavendish Nuclear Quality Strategy.
You will Also:
- Lead the definition and implementation of assurance activities for their business area, including supply chains and partnerships.
- Support the SSHEQR function in defining the business' processes, plan for quality and propose quality targets for the business area; and monitors and reports accordingly.
- Lead preparation for both internal and external audits.
- Ensure that all Quality events are promptly investigated and resolved at the correct level, and that key lessons learned from events are identified and promulgated.
This is a full time role, with 37 hours per week, provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days onsite based in Bristol, requires regular travel on a weekly / monthly basis in the UK.
Essential experience of the Quality Manager:
- Good working knowledge and application of ISO90001 and ISO17025, desirable if also have experience with NQA-1.
- Ability to investigate events using industry best-practice causal analysis tools.
- Good working knowledge of the Nuclear industry or a Highly Regulated Industry.
- Have a proven track record preferably gained within a similar role in the Nuclear or other highly regulated high hazard industry.
Qualifications for the Quality Manager:
- Science/Engineering Degree (or equivalent).
- Chartered member of the Quality Institute or registered on appropriate CPD scheme.
- Approved Auditor qualification (or has demonstrable skills and track record).
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
