This is a key role in further driving Quality improvement throughout the business As a Senior Quality Engineer with Watson-Marlow you will be working as part of the Quality Engineering team, and collaborating with the wider business to ensure Quality is embedded in new and existing processes and using data to drive continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

• You will support the non-conformance process, facilitate/lead investigations including root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action implementation.
• Collaborate with suppliers for PPAP (Product/Process Validation)
• Initiate and manage supplier corrective action requests.
• You will support customer requests, complaints and audits.
• Support design change activities including risk management, verification and validation
• You will support other quality team members and departments in the use of Quality tools to drive best practice.
• Work with our engineering and supply teams on the delivery of new tooling projects
• You will support change control actions and projects
• You will use data to drive quality improvements
• Support/lead audit program (internal, supplier and 3rd party)
• Support the Operational Excellence Framework Quality requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Significant experience in a Quality Engineering role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in the use of manufacturing quality tools such as SPC, Process Validation, Risk Analysis.
• Any experience of the following standards is advantageous - ISO 13485, ISO 9001, ISO 14971.
• Experience of corrective and preventive action
• Internal/lead audit qualified is advantageous
• eQMS experience is highly desirable.

The Supervisor (QA) will support the QA activities for the IMOS platform, delivering aircraft quality audits and service delivery in accordance with Leonardo DOPs and Serco SMS.

As part of this you’ll


- Act as an Auditor for Quality Assurance (QA) Audits within Merlin Depth.
- Request remedial actions concerning Merlin Depth QA Audits.
- Coordinate and processing Quality Occurrence Reports (QORs) raised and received by Merlin Depth.
- Provide advice regarding QORs raised and received by Merlin Depth.
- Coordinate and processing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Opportunities For Improvement (OFIs).
- Act as an Investigator for Health and Safety, Quality and Accident investigations.
- Act as a Maintenance Error Decision Aid (MEDA) Investigator for Technical investigations.
- Carry out generic Risk Assessments and Environmental Risk Assessments.
- Carry out contracted tasks. (in accordance with current Customer Policy and Regulations and other applicable statutory Regulations).
- Ensure all verbal and written customer complaints and Quality issues are brought to the attention of Serco Engineering Managers and associated customer leads.

- The Health and Safety at Work (HASAW) Act 1974.

- Where applicable Customer Policy and Regulations applicable to their grade and position.

Requirements of the role


- Have a thorough understanding of rotary wing military (aviation) procedures.
- Have as a minimum a recognised Internal Auditor Qualification and experience in a Quality Assurance Role.

- Have a thorough understanding of MAOS and MRP 145 RA 4800 Regulatory Articles.

The Quality and Compliance Manager is an integral part of the WML Supply Senior Leadership team and critical to our ongoing success.
Responsible for the Quality team and function, you will have both strategic and tactical responsibility for developing, implementing and delivering quality standards, alongside our operational goals.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Deployment of quality management systems.
• Experienced in manufacturing principles, including a knowledge of the complexities of a working clean room
• Advantageous although not essential - Multi-sector quality systems and standard experience with a particular emphasis on Bio Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices
• Experience in implementing quality management systems: ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and of GxP legislation and guidance.
• Experience with compliance standards such as: REACH, RoHS.
