Job Description:
Satair is looking for a Head of Warehouse Operations to join our team based in Miami, FL.You will be part of the team responsible for moving spare parts for aircraft maintenance through and out of the warehouse in a safe and clean manner.
Meet the team:
In support of Warehouse Operations, you will be responsible for driving the day-to-day delivery of productivity initiatives and business process improvement projects that support all functions within Satair's warehouse environment. This position will interact with all levels of the organization and support and lead strategies with decentralized execution across Operations in North America and globally.
Your working environment:
Our Miami site is located close to downtown Miami and only 10 miles from Miami International Airport (MIA). This location supports all of our Americas customers, but is important to our Latin American operations due to its close proximity to Latin America and the Caribbean. This site manufactures about 38,000 certified Eaton hose assemblies a year. Additionally, our Miami site is the home of the regional FAA-145 repair station, which was established in March of 2017.

Your challenges:
Operational Management 70%
Analyze process workflow, staffing and space requirements and equipment layout. Implement agreed upon changes with the appropriate methodology and guidelines.
Leadership 25%
Plan and review warehouse work flow on a daily basis to ensure operational KPIs are met. Highlight any shortfalls to respective stakeholders, i.e. Quality, Expeditors, etc.
Your boarding pass:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s' Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Experience and knowledge and the demonstrated ability to manage operation using Lean Six Sigma methodology
Experience:
- Minimum four (4) years of progressive leadership experience.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in warehouse, production, quality and/or transportation.
- Experience with AS9120 Quality Standard preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
- Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels within the organization.
- Advanced/Intermediate computer skills and significantly competent with SAP (WMS) and Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work within a matrix organization, i.e., regional staff, support functions, and Global Operational Centers of Excellence.
- Ability to manage projects through completion including effectively identifying the scope, objectives, outcomes, and success metrics.
- Ability to readily adapt to organizational change and successfully produce required outcomes.
- Prompt regular attendance.
Communication Skills
- Proficient in English, both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of Spanish highly desired
Technical Systems Proficiency:
- Proficiency in SAP, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word required
