You will serve as an Inventory Management Specialist and be responsible for maintaining, ordering, and positioning material in support of the depot level maintenance facility and Coast Guard air station maintenance program for a category of complex materials. The primary purpose of the position is to manage inventory items.

• Planning, expediting, forecasting, coordinating, analyzing, resolving and reporting on all supply involvement pertaining to material or system managed.
• Using the Aircraft Maintenance Management Information System (AMMIS) to maintain inventory control records and provide real time information on the location, quantity, and condition of all Coast Guard aviation assets.
• Developing and managing a budget for procurement of material and services in support of managed items.
• Determining quantities of major equipment to be purchased and initiating procurement actions for the purchase and/or repair of components or parts based on demand history, stock position, reorder points and lead-time.
• Coordinating with engineering personnel to initiate action to identify a source or develop new sources for problem items or no quote from vendors.

As a Purchase Card Program Specialist, you will:

• Perform assigned technical, multifaceted and administrative functions necessary to ensure an operating purchasing card program.
• Provide technical and administrative support to prepare responses to the Department of Energy Inspector General and Government Accounting Office (GAO).
• Manage and maintain client service measurements and monitors client satisfaction
• Conduct complex compliance audits and reviews to ensure organizational compliance with existing laws, federal regulations, policies, procedures and processes.
• In coordination with Purchase Card Program Coordinator, develop and implement communication and training plans, techniques and tools to ensure acknowledgement of pecuniary liability and responsibilities to over 800 card holders.
• Develop and analyze reports to identify possible violations and enacts or revises local policies and procedures to solve issues.

• Assisting customers by answering questions such as item price or location, and handling bulky/heavy items.
• Operating an electronic checkout system to record unit price, total customer purchase, and make change.
• Performing a variety of duties in handling, preparing and maintaining stock levels of grocery and produce items.
• Reviewing stock levels and gathering inventory data in order to maintain the Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO) system.
• Preparing and maintaining a variety of documents to order commissary items, reconcile invoices and submit requisitions.
• Maintaining security, safety, and sanitation practices and procedures.
