Your new role
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading the coordination of all procurement and supply chain activity within your given area of spend. With subcontractor spend being a key focus area, you will lead on all contract management activity and manage key supplier relationships. The Procurement Manager will play a pivotal role in managing a team of experienced procurement professionals, as well as reporting upwards to senior management. You will act as a point of escalation, so you will need to be a natural problem solver and able to act autonomously to make effective decisions.

Operating at a senior strategic level, you will be capable of managing the full end-to-end procurement lifecycle, spanning supplier evaluations through to understanding the commercials, subcontract management, handling difficult supplier situations, managing strategic relationships with key stakeholders. You will manage and coach a team and will develop them, acting as a true leader.

What you'll need to succeed

• Prior experience of leading a procurement team and working at a senior level
• Ideally you will be MCIPS qualified, or working towards qualification
• It would be beneficial if you have experience of working in a fast-paced regulated procurement environment, such as pharmaceutical, food, aerospace, automotive, engineering or manufacturing
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to show initiative and take ownership of a situation
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required
• Project management experience would be ideal

Procure to Pay Process and Systems:

• Work with Oracle and/or SAP for system issue troubleshooting and improvement opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Sourcing

• Develop, manage and execute strategies for Capital equipment category
• Conduct RFQ and lead cross functional teams through the selection process of preferred suppliers with effective scoring criteria to critically evaluate supplier proposals in accordance within company policies
• Collaborate with new technology, equipment and tooling stakeholders in engineering/legal to assess, understand, and prioritize business needs to optimize value with WD’s supply base
• Conduct spend/contract/proposal analysis for supply of capital equipment and tools to the leadership team
• Lead negotiations on commercial procurement agreements, including, but not limited to, Master Equipment/Tools Agreements (MEA’s), Statements of Work (SOW’s), Change Orders (CO’s) balancing business deliverables, legal interests and pricing
• Analyze total costs, assist business functions with ROI analysis, price and rate benchmarking and negotiate favorable business terms to leverage Western Digital purchasing power
• Research market intelligence to understand cost drivers and market trends

Category Management

• Develop, refine and implement category strategies and tactics that enable the procurement of assembly & automation equipment/tooling at the highest value benefit to the company
• Cultivate, enhance, and deepen cross functional stakeholder relationships at all levels serving as the subject matter expert on behalf of the procurement organization
• Actively monitor internal/external trends, synthesize and distill the business intelligence into actionable opportunities and pipeline projects that can and will be delivered to Western Digital’s bottom line on an ongoing basis

Supplier Management

• Manage supplier relationships with a focus on supply/contract and cost management
• Lead supplier performance business reviews on a quarterly basis to enhance performance delivery from strategic partners
• Mediate supplier issues and resolve supplier contract disputes as needed
• Develop supplier rationalization entitlements for each category

Contract Management

• Evaluate processes and recommend improvements to standardize lifecycle contract and sourcing processes and systems

As a Store Manager, you are the CEO of your store. You are tasked with leading the store executive team and will drive results by ensuring sales growth. Development is a key part of Kohl’s culture which is why you will oversee training and provide development recommendations to associates. Keeping in mind collaboration and engagement, Store Managers will also promote engagement through KVP (Kohl’s Volunteer Program) participation and by creating partnerships with Executives and Key Leaders. The Sr. Global Commodity Manager (Sr. GCM) of Procurement will support the Corporate Real Estate and Workplace (CREW) operations as a dynamic and results-driven leader who will direct, develop, and implement the necessary functional and process competencies to plan, source, purchase and deliver world-class products and services. The Sr. GCM owns the whole spectrum of strategic sourcing from the development of category strategies, risk mitigation, market analysis, RFx development, bidding, negotiation planning, competitive price, cost analysis, financial analysis, contract development and supplier management. We are looking for a passionate, driven, visionary leader with a track record of performance.

The Sr. GCM will work closely with various Facility Operations, Corporate Sustainability, Engineering and Construction teams that support all types of facilities, lease, sustainability programs and construction related scopes. The Sr. GCM shall develop and maintain strong collaborative and cooperative working relationships with team members across different functions and at different levels within the organization. The position requires enthusiasm, passion, attention to detail, and a desire to lead the strategic sourcing activities and be part of a high-performance team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Able to work cross-functionally with Commodity Managers located in various regions across the globe.
• Manage complex sourcing initiatives, leads the sourcing process cross-functional teams and ensures teams understand supply market dynamics and develop innovative sourcing solutions.
• Manage WD’s growing supply base through strong Commodity Strategies and drive continuous supplier improvement through the development of scorecards and KPI expectations.
• Influencing the supplier (or suppliers) in investments that meet WD future requirements.
• Accountable for all aspects of supplier relationship management including all technical, commercial, delivery, and quality.
• Develops and supports the overall vision, strategy, and execution plan for the site's CREW's Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Operations Expenditures (OPEX).
• Achieving deeper alignment with stakeholders to pursue business strategies in innovation, agility, and supply reliability.
• Capable of Negotiating and executing master supply contracts and other critical agreements.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage our partners’ capability to grow business.
• Lead and manage the category strategy definition and planning across a portfolio of categories grounded in rigorous data analysis.
• Lead risk mitigation of service, material and equipment supply base and develop appropriate strategies to ensure the successful launch of CAPEX and OPEX Projects.
• Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships at the executive level.
• Work in partnership with the various teams to develop an approved and qualified global supply base, develop strategic partnerships that address our needs and, on an ongoing basis, continuously improve supplier performance and continuity of supply.
• Prioritize sourcing efforts, develop baseline spending, and manages sequential sourcing waves.
• Responsible for conducting spend analysis, analyzing supply markets, identifying sourcing value levers, supplier segmentation, and executing competitive RFx, and leading supplier negotiations.
• Builds strong relationships with Executive Team and key stakeholders across the business to agree on business goals and key requirements and remove obstacles for sourcing teams.
• Ensures integrity of savings tracking and reporting efforts and works with the Finance team to ensure negotiated savings are realized.
• Lead the supplier perfromance management process, in line with WD policies and procedures for reviewing supplier performance and ensuring new value is created year over year.
