THE ROLE:
• Ensure accounting systems function flawlessly, providing assurance on the accuracy and correctness of client accounts and financial statements
• Prepare required financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and interim financial statements for various clients.
• Assist in the formulation of budget statements and plans as required.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and tax returns using Xero software.
• Prepare cash flow statements.
• Undertake audits and checks to assess the fairness, correctness, and accuracy of transactions.
• Provide input on capital expenditure, internal control, and taxation matters.
• Ensure compliance with company law, taxation, and accounting standards, and that financial statements meet statutory requirements.
• Monitor, prepare, and control annual budgets and balance sheets.
• Maintain all strategic and operational financial judgments.
• Prepare payroll using payroll software
• Handle compliance and any matters with the ATO.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $73,150 - $75,000
Schedule:
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
Experience:
• Minimum 1 years of full-time accounting experience.
