Shape the Future Media Storytellers! Are you a passionate media professional with a knack for inspiring learners? We're seeking a full-time Media and Journalism Lecturer to join our vibrant team. This role offers the opportunity to share your extensive industry knowledge and teaching expertise to shape the next generation of media professionals.
What you'll do: Captivate students: Deliver engaging and informative lessons across all levels, from introductory courses to Higher Education programs. Be an expert guide: Develop and implement a curriculum that blends journalistic principles with modern creative media skills. What we're looking for: A seasoned pro: A degree (or HND) and recent industry experience in media (journalism and/or creative media). Teaching chops: A teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) is preferred, with willingness to pursue a Level 5 Diploma if needed (we'll support you!). Communication maestro: Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information and inspire engagement. Safeguarding champion: Proven commitment to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults. Team player: The ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a positive team environment. Adaptable educator: Flexibility and a knack for tailoring your approach to diverse learner needs. Organisational whiz: Experience in organising, managing, and delivering high-quality media learning opportunities.
