This is a new opportunity for a dedicated, hard working individual to join the Theatre Housekeeping night team at UHCW. This is a very busy department, with 22 theatres working daily

The role of the Theatre Housekeeping Team is to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the department. Ensuring all national cleaning standards are met.

1. Clean and monitor stock on all mobile storage trolleys in the Theatre Department.
2. Ensure a regular cleaning is maintained of both patient and instrument trolleys.
3. Clean and monitor theatre storage areas and ensure any stock and consumables are within date of usage. Adhere to infection control protocols in relation to cleaning and decontamination processes and ensure regular link to infection control department to ensure current guidelines are followed.
4.Ensure theatre systems are cleaned and decontaminated following infection control and medical electronics guidelines.
5.Maintain all records and database of theatre cleaning for internal and external audit purposes, utilising IT systems to secure accurate data.
6.Organise own daily workload e.g. use and cleaning of identified medical and non-medical equipment.
7.Maintain a clean, safe environment ensuring adherence to Trust standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control at all times.
8. Assist with the nursing cleaning of theatres following surgery as directed by the team leader
9.Ensure theatre equipment is deep cleaned on a rotational basis.
10. Promote and monitor adherence to Health and Safety and Trust policy designed to protect healthcare staff and service users from known hazards.
