Grounds Maintenance Operatives - St Austell, Cornwall

We have several ongoing temporary roles for Grounds Maintenance Operatives in the St Austell area. As Grounds Maintenance Operatives you will undertake such tasks as strimming, hard and soft landscaping, grass cutting, hedge pruning, flower bed maintenance and more.

For this role a CSCS card is a requirement and so we are going to be running a CSCS course. The cost of the course is £165 which includes the CSCS card. The cost of the course will be refunded upon completion of two complete 40 hour weeks in the first month of your employment.

For this role you will need to pass a drug and alcohol pre-employment test.

The Facilities Manager is a key role accountable for the management of total facilities services across our two hospices and our retail sites. They will be accountable for the fabric of the hospice buildings and tangible assets, including short, medium and long term planned preventative maintenance, contract and contractor management, security and energy sustainability. They will be the nominated competent person ensuring health and safety legislative and policy compliance. A key focus of the position is to deliver safety excellence, drive operational efficiencies and provide management information to the Executive Management Team. The Facilities Manager leads the development of a high-performing team of technical employees, who can provide exceptional levels of customer service across all of the Charity work locations. This includes embedding a culture of efficiency and collaboration that aligns to the Charitys values. Facilities Develop and implement a programme of planned maintenance for all of the Charity locations, including retail stores, to ensure that the premises and the equipment within are fit for purpose, maintained in a serviceable condition, meet relevant safety standards and are in good working order. Develop a charity wide asset register to demonstrate condition, life cycles and service intervals to be used to drive facilities budgeting and forecasting. Develop and utilise the facilities system to be a leading tool demonstrating the completion of maintenance tasks for premises and equipment as well as remedial actions, compliance recording and auditing Coordinate and control all building works and refurbishments, planning for minimum disturbance to the patients, visitors, customers and employees. Ensure the Maintenance team carrying out routine monitoring and repairs on all buildings and facilities and engage external contractors where necessary. Is responsible for ensuring all regular tests and checks are completed as required and recorded accurately. This includes fire alarm and evacuation procedures. Engage contractors to perform work that cannot be completed safely, effectively or in its entirety by the Maintenance team. Production Technician / Manufacturing Mechanical Assembly Technician with previous experience with electro-mechanical assemblies such as connecting wiring harnesses, connector crimping and soldering and fault finding is required for well-established manufacturing company based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, East Anglia.


SALARY: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum (DOE) + Benefits (see below)

LOCATION: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, East Anglia (IP28)

You must hold a full driving license and have your own vehicle as there is no public transport to the site.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Production Technician / Manufacturing Mechanical Assembly Technician with previous experience with electro-mechanical assemblies such as connecting wiring harnesses, connector crimping and soldering and fault finding.

Working as the Production Technician / Manufacturing Mechanical Assembly Technician you will be part of the Operations Team, reporting to the Production Manager, and will be involved with the in-process inspection and assembly operations for the in-house manufactured laboratory equipment.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Production Technician / Manufacturing Mechanical Assembly Technician will include:

• Connecting wiring harness

• Small connector crimping and soldering

• Mechanical assembly

• Assembly of small tubing and fittings

• Reviewing manufacturing cell stock levels and quality

• Improvement of product assembly through exploring new methods

• Supporting production technicians with fault finding

• Reporting of slow processes and quality concerns to line managers

• Manage workload to achieve target


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in a production based role

• 2 A levels or National diploma / GNVQ level 3 (or equivalent)

• Experience with mechanical assemblies

• Able and willing to learn

• Able to work in a busy deadline driven environment.

• Able to multitask with an organised approach.

• Confident with Windows, Excel, Word.

• Ability to read engineering drawings

• You must hold a full driving license and have your own vehicle as there is no public transport to the site

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Good technical understanding of materials

• Experience in fault-finding electro-mechanical assemblies
