Your Role:

As a valued member of the team, and with a team of your own, you will manage and oversee maintenance-related tasks, liaise with contractors and be responsible for ensuring the service’s facilities are fit for purpose. This includes conducting regular audits.

As a Part Time Facilities Manager at Stanley House, you will be working 22.5 hours per week, with some on-call duties required, and will have access to a range of training opportunities that can see your career grow to help you achieve your career aspirations.

As a Part Time Facilities Manager you will be:

• Organising and implementing a planned preventative maintenance schedule to optimise standards and performance of Care Centre plant, equipment, buildings, and grounds.
• Organising and overseeing all aspects of preventative and corrective maintenance on buildings structure and fittings.
• Ensuring adequate records of the planned maintenance and test results, e.g. Equipment logs, service certification, fire alarm logs.
• Maintaining safe working practices when operating hand, power and workshop tools.
• Ensuring that all electrical equipment is tested (PAT) in line with legislation.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Experience within a similar role

We are now seeking a Senior Facilities Officer to assist the Facilities Management Team to maintain an attractive, safe, clean, and welcoming College as well as a calm purposeful learning environment.
You’ll be the single point of contact for all requests for repairs, faults, and other maintenance requests from staff, ensuring that all faults are logged on the College helpdesk system. Along with the site services team you will assist in providing first line response to repairs requests covering non-plant equipment, fabric, plumbing, carpentry, decorative repairs, porterage duties and maintain key inventories and stock. You’ll be undertaking weekly inspections of the roofs, gutters, basements and the fabric maintenance of the building and to report defects to the Facilities Manager.
We’d like you to be experienced in working with and overseeing contractors and be able to work under pressure to strict deadlines. You’ll have working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and procedures and be able to identify and implement improvements in existing procedures and systems.
We’re looking for someone who has experience within the facilities industry and can work alongside and deputise for the Facilities Manager as and when required.

Your new role

As the sole technician supporting trust staff, you will work independently, however will also have the support of the wider IT team who are based at the trust office. From a technical perspective, you will work on Microsoft 365, Windows 11 and various other bespoke technologies.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess significant IT Technician experience, ideally working in an environment where you have provided both remote and on-site support to a high level. You will have excellent relationship building and communication skills as you will be supporting senior level Directors, therefore an attention to detail is also essential. Working with the Director of Facilities, you will have lead responsibility for the development, use and management of facilities and property across the estate to ensure the provision of consistent and high-quality services to students, staff and other stakeholders.
Overseeing three Facilities Managers, you will have overall responsibility for all “hard” services including M&E plant maintenance and related contracts, asset management buildings and facilities and planned property maintenance. We ask that our Head of Facilities holds a recognised Facilities Management or Building related qualification and has significant experience of managing a wide ranging building facilities function at senior level, including the management of a staff team.
