Senior Catering Technician About us: Gower College Swansea is one of the largest colleges in Wales with a strong reputation for high quality teaching and learning. We have six campuses across the city with over 4,500 full time learners and 10,000 part time learners. We currently have a turnover of over £50 million making us a major employer in the region with approximately 1,000 staff. The role: To provide support to lecturing staff by ensuring that appropriate stock and resources are available and to ensure that the highest possible standards of hygiene are maintained within the Hospitality & Catering department and its ancillary stores at Tycoch. Full time (37 hours per week) Monday – Friday (to include one evening) Permanent £23,404 - £23,903 per annum Tycoch Campus Key Responsibilities: Maintain a clean, healthy, hygienic work environment in all Hospitality and Catering workplaces to statutory requirements, while implementing all hygiene and safety legislation documentation (to include kitchens, restaurant, bar, storerooms. To coordinate and implement cleaning rota of catering kitchens, training restaurant and all equipment (large and small) amongst the technician team. Issue, receive and ensure cleanliness of all equipment e.g. refrigerators, freezers, store cupboards, including the floor areas where required. Source, order, receive, store and dispense necessary equipment, materials and ingredients required for practical classes and demonstrations, from recognised suppliers and relevant retail outlets.
