We are now recruiting Vehicle Technicians at our North West Hub, Warrington Workshop on a permanent contract, with the potential to earn between £50,000
- £70,000 per annum.Salary: £35,364 per annum. A shift allowance of £78.00 per week when working the 13:00
- 21:30 shift. Saturday and Sunday working is 1 in 3 weeks (1 Saturday in 3 weeks and 1 Sunday in 3 weeks) e.g. Monday and Tuesday off then working Wednesday to Sunday.A weekend supplement for Saturday (£50 per attendance) and Sunday (£100 per attendance) is applicable. A Royal Mail Technician can expect to earn between £50,000
- £70,000 per annum including overtime. You may be eligible for a welcome bonus of £1500
Working Hours: ​Full time​
- ​39.5​ hours per week. Rotating 3 week shift pattern; weeks 1 & 2 : working between 06:00
- 14:00, week 3: working between 13:00

We are looking for professional vehicle technicians to perform a full range of inspections, diagnosis, maintenance and repair procedures on a range of vehicle, trailers and mechanical equipment operated by Royal Mail Group. As an experienced technician you will have your own personal toolkit equipped to undertake routine maintenance and repair of light/heavy vehicles. Specialist tooling and equipment will be provided for common use by everyone within the workshop.

Successful candidates must be fully qualified to at least advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle maintenance & repair or an equivalent qualification) and have proven (via CV) experience of working on a wide range of vehicles for example LCV/LGV. We also require you to have a full manual driving licence (LGV preferred with trailer experience but not essential).

DUTIES

Your duties as the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer include:

• Ensure that all equipment, machinery and peripherals operate efficiently and at full capability, ensuring a continuous production process

• Carry out repairs on machines as part of breakdown or preventative maintenance

• Ensure that all relevant paperwork and maintenance logs are completed correctly and accurately in accordance with company procedure

• Ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with quality, hygiene and food safety policies

• To perform any other duties in connection with the job that may from time to time be reasonably required by supervision and which are consistent with the “Purpose of job/mission”


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Manufacturing experience is essential (Plastics, Packaging, FMCG, Food, Beverage, Pharma etc)

• HNC Qualification preferred OR Minimum NVQ Level 3 (electrical) + Experience

• Multi Skilled experience – Strong Electrical Bias
