Role Overview

We are on the lookout for a permanent dynamic Quality Technician to join our client's team. Reporting into the Senior Quality Engineer you will support operations driving internal and external quality issues. Working 40-hour week on 3 shift rotation: afternoons (14:00-22:00), mornings (06:00-14:00) and nights (22:00-06:00).

As a Quality Technician your role will consist of:

• Ensure working & master samples are valid and available for production
• Issue and monitor Quality Alerts and ensure they are being adhered to
• Initiate temporary/permanent fix to quality problems
• Ensure audits on product have been conducted
• Assist customer for concerns on shift
• Visit customer when required
• Support line trials
• Global 8D reporting - using multifunctional team support
• Understanding IATF16949, ISO 9001 quality standards
• Ability to understand engineering drawings
• Able to generate informative and accurate data

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• ONC (or equivalent) in Q/C Techniques
• Working knowledge of FMEA's and control plans

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting and advising teaching staff on the preparation and layout in teaching areas for practical exercises, running trials, demonstrations and helping students with learning activities as appropriate
• Ensuring equipment and materials prepared for lessons are to teachers' specifications, including shopping/ordering and preparing ingredients
• Advising students and staff on the safe and proper use of equipment and on the correct and safe way to carry out learning activities
• Assisting in the safety, inspection, repair and general maintenance of all resources, equipment and tools, and advising on any maintenance or inspection beyond your competence
• Understanding the subject syllabus and schemes of work in order to prepare for practical lessons adequately

To undertake medicines reconciliation in accordance with practice protocols and to update patients medical records / prescribing accordingly. To support the achievement of the practices prescribing Quality and Outcomes Framework targets. Working with the PRACTICE PHARMACIST to contribute to the review and development of repeat prescribing protocols / Standard Operating Procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of repeat prescribing systems. To provide advice to GPs, staff and patients in changes to prescribing to support the improvement of prescribing safety, quality and cost effectiveness. To participate in medication audits. To assist in the appropriate monitoring and management of prescribing the budgets and to liaise with the medicines management team at the ICB. To prepare evidence based resources and information to support the implementation of rational cost-effective prescribing. To support the Practice Based Clinical Pharmacist to provide medication reviews, patient information leaflets, medicine awareness; and to undertake community visits as appropriate. To take a proactive approach to the safe handling of prescriptions, including assessment of risk and making recommendations for improvement. To respond to medication queries from patients and staff in a professional manner referring to the appropriate GP in accordance with practice protocols. To advise on the sourcing and safe management of medicines as appropriate. To assist in the submission of claims for personally administered drugs as required.
