Responsibilities of our Technician in Catering:
Organisation of practical workspace areas to ensure effective utilisation of space and realistic work simulations and prepare materials for use by students including training aids and learning resources.
Overall responsibility for Health and Safety in practical workspace areas and to ensure compliance with all.
Contribute fully to the membership of course teams, attending staff meetings and liaising with staff on individual student’s progress and support needs.
Assist in the maintenance of records of individual student progress where appropriate, including maintaining records of student attendance and initial assessment.
Ensure that consumables, materials, preparation and stock control are available and prepared to the required level in practical learning environments;
Follow group financial procedures in ordering consumables and other practical equipment for line manager authorisation and update practical learning environment inventories annually.
Deliver taster sessions and attend open events as required

The opportunity

Technician – Animal Management

We are looking to recruit an experienced Animal Management Technician for our brand-new Animal Management facility. The unit comprises of multiple rooms housing a wide range of small mammals, exotic mammals, aquatics, reptiles, herptiles and insects.
You will be responsible for organising and carrying out routine care of our animals and their brand-new facilities and ensuring a high degree of animal welfare. The role will include managing a small team of part time technicians and rotas to always maintain cover in the unit. Also planning rotas for lecturers to utilise rooms for the requirements of our students on various Level 1,2 and 3 courses along HNC/HND. Maintenance and ordering of stock and equipment will also be essential.
The successful applicant will have previous experience of working with animals and a related qualification. Ideally you will have worked as a technician before in a similar setting, but are looking for a new challenge to grow an already established department. The experience to work with small groups of students would be an advantage. The college is planning to establish a dog grooming and training facility in 2025 so any expertise in this area would also be desirable although not essential.

The Role
Hallfield School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and competent IT Technician, with relevant experience in a similar help desk role, to assist in providing essential day-to-day user support and network and systems maintenance across the School.

The Role
Hallfield School is seeking to appoint a skilled Estates & Maintenance Assistant to assist with day to day maintenance and compliance of the School estate. This is an integral role within the Estates team and the successful candidate must be confident to lead and complete projects such as minor alterations and refurbishment tasks.
NVQ Level 2 or above in any trade such as carpentry, plastering, plumbing or construction would also be advantageous. In addition, any experience in multi-trade skills would be highly desirable.

Under the instruction/guidance of the Deputy Facilities Manager provide maintenance and security services on the Academy sites and premises. You will be based at one of our schools in Coventry but will be required to work at all of our sites nearby.

About the Role
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive candidate with excellent organisational skills and a keen interest in sport for the newly created role of PE Technician. The PE Technician would be part of the Sport and Nutrition faculty, supporting the practical function on a day to day basis, also offering the opportunity to support after school activities.
This permanent position is 37 hours per week, term time only (including INSET days).

The Science department offers A Level (all disciplines), BTEC Level 3 and GCSE Combined courses and T Level’s. Responsibilities The successful candidate will work closely with two other science technician’s and the Head of Curriculum to provide technical support to the science teachers, contributing to students’ learning experience by assisting with the preparation of materials and apparatus for practical work. We require a full time IT technician to work with our IT team to maintain and improve our school network infrastructure. This is a customer facing position, whereby you will deliver swift and effective support to teaching and support staff and other professionals within the classroom and school offices. As such you must be experienced working within a fast moving business/school setting and be able to maintain, install and monitor IT equipment.
A recognised IT qualification and knowledge, or understanding of, IT in a school setting would be advantageous, but is not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidate.

ASPIRE, GROW, SUCCEED We are seeking a Science Technician to provide vital support for the provision of practical elements of learning from Key Stage 3, in all 3 Science subjects, through to ‘A’ Level. The duties will include preparation of materials, equipment and chemicals for lessons, mounting and displaying work, maintenance of relevant machinery and equipment, constructing science apparatus and stock control. This is a varied role and would suit someone with laboratory experience and who is looking to develop their career as a technician. Training will be provided for the right candidate. The ideal candidate must have: • Practical skills in all three science disciplines from KS3 to ‘A’ Level; • Excellent ICT skills • Preferably 'A' level qualifications or equivalent in the Sciences • Preferably have experience working in a school or professional laboratory; • Have Health and Safety experience and training; • Be able to work independently, as part of an effective team, show commitment and enthusiasm; • Enjoy working with students and teaching professionals; • Be prepared to develop their skills, undergo professional development.
