Kepier has made significant investment in ICT resources in recent years and is keen to keep up to date with the latest developments and ever changing technology. It seeks to appoint as soon as possible a skilled, experienced professional to play a strategic role in furthering the development of ICT systems throughout the Academy. You will support the ICT infrastructure and E-Learning Strategy, including use of the VLE to enable effective communication within Kepier as well as contribute to the development of the Academy’s website.

Duties will include, but are not limited to, safety and maintenance checks on all the machines in the workshop, preparation of materials and resources for lessons as required (some of which would require using CAD/CAM software, including using the laser cutter, 3D printer and Kiln), ordering of materials, setting out equipment and assistance in the daily management of equipment and tools and their general repairs.

The successful candidate should have experience of working in a similar role, ideally within

an educational setting. It is essential that the successful candidate has excellent organisational skills, works well both independently and as part of a team, is able to

follow instructions and show initiative. The post holder will need to develop effective and

safe in class practices, and will be expected to work in a classroom situation to support

practical lessons.

We're looking for someone to join our busy Science department, to provide a variety of technical support to staff and pupils in a variety of ways to ensure their safety at all times. You will be adaptable to a varying workload, whilst always maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.

The successful candidate should have:

• Relevant experience in a similar type of role, working with specialist science equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety to ensure and advise on good practice is important.
• An ability to work well as part of a small team, prioritising your own workload to meet deadlines.
