IT Support Technician (1st Line) - 3 Month Fixed Term Contract
Full Time: 37.5 hours
Contract: 3 Month Fixed Term
Location: Cannock, Staffordshire
Salary: £23,000 per annum

The Opportunity:
As a key member of the IT Service Desk, you will be the first point of contact for all IT support related issues. This role is a
crucial part of a larger IT Department that covers Operations, Project Management, Infrastructure, and Development.
The role requires a good working knowledge of Windows operating systems, servers, cloud-based infrastructure, and TCP/IP
networking. The successful candidate will be comfortable in a busy helpdesk environment, adhering to SLAs and providing excellent
customer service to Newlife's diverse teams.
Key responsibilities include:
* Answering telephone calls in a professional, confident, and timely manner
* Completing online ticket requests with a high level of diligence
* Responding to user requests, providing assistance, and offering training where appropriate
* Performing troubleshooting and fault diagnostics
* Performing IT system administration tasks
* Mobile Phone/Laptop setup and allocation
* Developing technical and personal skills through training and self-study
What we are looking for:
* IT Certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, HP) or related experience
* Friendly and professional communication skills across all correspondence with end users
* Minimum of 1 year in an IT support role
* Experience of working to deadlines/SLAs in a technical helpdesk environment
* Experience in delivering a high level of customer service
* Technical experience working with IT infrastructure; servers, mobile devices, networking equipment, etc.
* Experience in delivering support to retail teams (Epos knowledge is highly desirable)
* Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, MS Office 365, MS Exchange Server 2019
