We are looking for someone who is eager to empower end users in the use of IT systems, be that via day-to-day training on Clinical and Admin systems, or via the implementation of project workstreams such as system upgrades and new system rollouts.
We are a collaborative team, working across different local organisations to achieve shared goals, ultimately to provide the highest level of patient care possible.
An exciting opportunity has arisenfor1 post,initially for a 18-month secondment/or fixed term contract, on a full time / part-time basis, supporting NHIS in the role of Project Implementation and Training Officer.The post holder will be required to travel or be based at Byron Court Arnold.
The Project Implementation and Training team provide the implementation of clinical and non-clinical systems, for all NHS customers of the NHIS. Following implementation, the team provide the service of training and support, prior to ‘live’ systems and also continually to sustain departmental knowledge.
Supported by telephone and email where required. Training approaches include ‘induction programmes’ and ‘project-based training.’ System and desktop training is delivered to support system implementations and then training on-going when ‘live.’ The IT Training team provides resources to enable all staff to be proficient and competent with the technologies available to them. These systems include multiple patient administration.

Nottinghamshire Health Informatics Service (NHIS) are an Information Management & Technology (IM&T) service provider. We supply digital services including Infrastructure Management, Cyber Security, a full range of 1st, 2nd & 3rd Line Technical Support Services, along with Professional and Transformation services including Project Management & Training teams. NHIS are a shared service hosted by Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (SFHFT) supporting Health and Care organisations across the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System (ICS). We work collaboratively with our partner & customer organisations to help deliver their digital & transformational initiatives & strategies, providing expertise and knowledge gained through years of experience. We provide support to over 13,000 users at nearly 800 sites with around 150 internal dedicated staff. Our main aim is to help improve health and care services for citizens by working with organisations to improve the digital experience for the Health and Care workforce and for our local population, ultimately providing a data rich ICS with a focus on the sharing of information and interoperability.
This role sits within the Strategy and Delivery Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of NHIS. The main objective of the Strategy and Delivery SBU is the delivery of digital Transformation, project support and business change aligned to local and National digital Strategies. We support digital transformation on all levels, from end-to-end delivery of new digital systems, processes, and functionality as well as routine upgrades and training on existing digital systems, we aim to ensure the continuation of normal service with minimal business impact to our customers. Our vision is to help transform care by being an integrated provider of ICT services and support, delivering a high-quality professional service that links strategy, innovation and technology for our local Health and Social care community. We aim to bring to life the local ICS ambitions of a joined-up health and social care economy that is not constrained by boundaries, a landscape where systems are integrated, allowing professionals to make fully informed choices within a digitally enabled culture that is efficient, safe, and secure.

• Formal classroom, demo, and virtual training sessions
• Small informal groups
• Dedicated one to one tuition
• On site face to face training and support
• e-Learning as appropriate
