We believe the best engineering projects are delivered by engineers, so we combine the traditional Project Manager and Process Engineer roles into a single, Project Leader role.

You will:

- Lead the design of water and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects through the outline and detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Be responsible for the process design of your project including, but not limited to, assessing Thames Water process calculations and authoring calculations, mass balance diagrams, and supporting HAZOP studies.
- Coordinate the project team comprising Electrical, Mechanical and Civil designers and ensure designs are completed on programme, within budget, and to the quality defined by Thames Water specifications.
- Occasionally visit sites across the Thames Valley Region (costs incurred are recoverable).


Candidate Specification :

- IChemE-accredited degree in Process or Chemical Engineering.
- Chartered member of the IChemE or Associate member able to demonstrate progress made in working toward Chartership.
- Outline and detailed design experience of water or wastewater projects.
- Knowledge of the Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.

You will:

Candidate Specification :

- ICE-accredited degree in Civil Engineering.

Thames Water is excited to offer this opportunity for a Business Services Coordinator to join our team on a 4 to 6-month Fixed Term Contract/Secondment. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing the workflow of retained activities and supporting our outsourced partner in resolving exceptions and complex customer queries.

What you will be doing as the Business Services Coordinator: You will play a key part in supporting and assisting with the implementation of new processes and systems, continuously improving how we serve our customers. You'll help enhance training materials and elevate our service offering to ensure we deliver exceptional customer experiences. As part of your responsibilities, you will handle customer callbacks and escalations within agreed SLAs, during this process you must ensure our customer is at the heart of everything we do as well as ensuring our assets are protected.

Duties to include but not limited to:

- Working collaboratively across the business with exposure to a wide variety of stakeholders including customers, developers, contractors, and Thames Water partners including Cash operations.
- Delivering an excellent customer experience (both to internal and external customers) in all aspects, working towards an improved CSAT/DMEX score, reduced complaints, and improved quality.
- Demonstrating our values through behaviours and creating an inclusive and positive environment that drives performance, engagement, and development.
- Acting as the first point of contact for customer enquiries.
- Resolving customer queries promptly and efficiently.
- Accurately following SODA to ensure business integrity, cross-referencing details against the main applicant, and liaising with Billing and customer on any inconsistencies.
- Processing & capturing cheques promptly.
- Technically assessing from a financial point and being the main point of contact for payment queries & refunds queries.

Exciting opportunity at Thames Water! Seeking a Civil Engineer to ensure our capital projects meet top standards. Drive engineering work on our leading Sewage Treatment works. Develop project briefs, mitigate risks, and provide technical assurance. Join us in delivering excellence in design and safety. Be part of our ambitious AMP7 journey and beyond.

What you’ll be doing as a Civil Engineer

- Coordinate the development of Project Briefs based on the needs defined by Asset Management.
- Understand project risks and coordinate mitigation activities. Collect documents and information to inform contractor pricing and risk provision.
- Prepare and support technical reviews through the projects' Definition, De-Risking, and Detail Design phases.
- Conducted technical assurance checks and audits of contractor activities and outputs during the project's detailed design and construction phases.

This role will be based at Clearwater Court Reading on a Hybrid basis. You will be required to be in the office and on-site 2-3 days a week, and as the business requires you to.
36 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Ideally, to be a driver and have access to a car to travel to sites.

What you should bring to the role

- Hold a Civil Engineering Degree or an equivalent Engineering HNC
- Background in oil and gas, highways or wastewater
- Understanding of project delivery in process industries
- Understanding of Health and Safety in the Construction Industry
- Background in developing technical project solutions or Briefs in a specific discipline
- Fully proficient at using the appropriate Company IT systems and Office software
