Role Title: Land and New Business Manager
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Salary: £52,618 - £65,772 per annum plus car allowance of £2272 per annum (salary offered dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Dartford / Agile
You will be responsible for sourcing and securing new development opportunities to deliver Moat’s ambitious growth targets.
We support agile working, so you’ll be provided all IT equipment to work flexibly between your home and at our Dartford office.

You will be:
• Identifying and delivering development opportunities including land, development, and Section 106 sites in accordance with Moat’s Corporate Strategy.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and communicate effectively to ensure successful team outcomes.
• Developing and maintaining a comprehensive network of contacts relevant to securing and delivering new business opportunities including stakeholders, developers, housebuilders, funders, and strategic partners.
• Identifying, appraising, and negotiating new opportunities by considering commercial risk, funding requirements, tenure, specification and design.
• Negotiating contractual and commercial terms in line with policy, procedure, financial and regulatory requirements.
• Producing and presenting comprehensive reports for internal approval to Executive Team, Board, and relevant committees.
• Representing Moat at external meetings and undertake other duties to achieve required outcomes.
We are on the lookout for someone who has:
• A good track record of identifying and securing opportunities for residential development.
• A minimum of one year working in securing new business and land opportunities.
• An ability to build and maintain successful and collaborative partnerships to achieve outcomes.
• Proven commercial acumen and ability to negotiate and influence.
• Excellent communication skills – written and oral.
• Understanding of the planning process and requirements of Capital Funding Guide for Homes England and Greater London Authority (GLA).
• Ability and flexibility to plan and prioritise workloads under pressure without compromising standards.
• An ability to undertake work outside of normal office hours to meet the needs of the business.
• A valid driving licence and use of a vehicle.
It’s also additional, but not essential to have:
• A thorough understanding of land led development and planning and procurement routes
• A professional qualification (RICS or similar).
