Facilities and Project Manager

Location: UK wide

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Reports To: Compliance Director



Your role:



A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities and Project Manager to join our Pallet Division.



Position Overview:

As a Facilities and Project Manager within our Pallet Division, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing a variety
of facilities and special projects. This role requires exceptional project management skills, a deep understanding of facility
operations, and the ability to introduce and implement effective project management methodologies. Your primary responsibility
will be to ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of all assigned projects, with a strong focus on meeting
project goals, deadlines, and budgetary constraints. You will also be responsible for conducting and facilitating project meetings
to maintain clear communication and drive project success.



Reporting to the Compliance Director, this role will develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines,
budgets, and resource allocation. You will monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively implement
mitigation strategies whilst ensuring all relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards including building regulations
are adherence to.



In this role, you will oversee the planning, design, and construction of facilities projects, including renovations, upgrades, and
any other suitable projects, including managing contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure high-quality work and
cost-effectiveness. You will also prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and action items to keep the project on track.





Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Construction Management, Engineering, Facilities Management) or equivalent
experience.
* Expert Knowledge of CDM regulations and industry standards.
* Proven experience in project management, preferably in facilities or construction projects.
* Strong understanding of facilities management operations and best practices.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Monday.com).
* Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications are a plus.



The ability to travel around the site network during the weeks working hours and on occasions outside working hours is
indispensable.

What you'll need to succeed

• Extensive experience in a Mechanical Project Manager or similar role

Job Summary:

This client is a water sector solution provider that operates across many regions in the UK. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Delivery team, to report into the Senior Project Manager. The successful Project Manager will manage the design, construction, commissioning, and completion of contracts, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget, while upholding health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote exceptional safety standards and quality delivery across direct and subcontracted workforces.
• Ensure the implementation of the Business Management System (BMS) throughout the project lifecycle, from tender handover to final completion.
• Maintain strong client relationships and uphold the company's reputation with joint venture partners and suppliers.
• Ensure the availability of trained personnel and communicate their responsibilities.
• Plan and oversee project execution, including reviewing and approving Project Execution Plans (PEP), and monitoring project progress.

• At contract completion, ensure all project records are completed as per the PEP.

The Project Manager will require:

Essential:

• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ideally in the water industry.
• Degree or equivalent in construction, commercial, or engineering-related disciplines.
• Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders.
• Delivery-driven mindset with the ability to lead and motivate teams to meet time, cost, and quality targets.
• Strategic, operational, technical, and management skills.
• Knowledge of Construction Contracts, ideally NEC and/or IChemE.
• Ability to present at governance reviews.
• Risk and opportunity management experience.
• Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety regulations.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel between office and project sites as required.

Desirable:

• Experience working on water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Chartered status with a relevant professional institution.
• NEC Project Manager Accreditation.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced School Business Manager to work at a senior leadership level at St James Junior School. This is a key role for the right candidate to lead on all aspects of school business management which requires close working with the Headteacher, Local Academy Committee and DDAT Central Team. The role includes line management responsibility of support staff within the school and involvement in Trust-wide initiatives and activities in Derby and Derbyshire.

You will be joining an industry-leading subcontractor who has a plethora of motorway and highway projects within the Midlands region. For this role they are looking for a Site Manager to look after the operational delivery of emergency areas within the East Midlands.

Your new role
You will be responsible for overseeing the construction of 20 new emergency areas within the East Midlands region. In addition to managing/monitoring labour, plat, equipment, and transport on site and making sure that all activities are carried out in accordance with regulatory compliance, your position will involve conducting efficient toolbox discussions, RAMS, briefings, and more.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will have relevant experience working on Highways/Motorways projects within the Civil Engineering industry, experience working on Smart Motorways is desired however not essential. You will have relevant tickets such as a Gold or Black CSCS Card and SMSTS and have the ability to be able to exhibit excellent management abilities, such as project, financial, change, and construction management.

The Project Manager roles will support the Associate Director (Workforce Strategy, Planning and Transformation) to facilitate workforce improvements in the system space. Each Project Manager will focus on areas relevant to the role: Planning: Work closely with workforce planning colleagues to support annual planning processes. Ongoing monitoring of the workforce position against plan, providing assurance to the relevant committees. Develop a deeper understanding of the workforce position. Building out from the traditional NHS Providers to include the wider workforce e.g. primary care. Further development of the annual planning processes and understanding the underpinning assumptions being made. Establishing processes to ensure that plans are aligned (activity, workforce and finance) and seeking to influence areas where improvements are needed. Working closely with finance colleagues to ensure financial plans match/ balance with long term workforce plans. Target areas where the position is off plan, working with system partners to develop solutions and ensure these are implemented. Transformation: Through the identification of areas where there are workforce challenges and/or new models of care are being considered, facilitate the development of new workforce models. Facilitate workforce engagement with system partners to better understand and define their workforce transformation requirements. Develop and maintain a comprehensive and rounded view of the workforce in the Derbyshire system to understand the challenges and opportunities, in turn identify local and national solutions to support transformation.
