Job Summary:

This client is a water sector solution provider that operates across many regions in the UK. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Delivery team, to report into the Senior Project Manager. The successful Project Manager will manage the design, construction, commissioning, and completion of contracts, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget, while upholding health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

The Project Manager will require:

Essential:

• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ideally in the water industry.
• Degree or equivalent in construction, commercial, or engineering-related disciplines.
• Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders.
• Delivery-driven mindset with the ability to lead and motivate teams to meet time, cost, and quality targets.
• Strategic, operational, technical, and management skills.
• Knowledge of Construction Contracts, ideally NEC and/or IChemE.
• Ability to present at governance reviews.
• Risk and opportunity management experience.
• Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety regulations.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel between office and project sites as required.

Desirable:

• Experience working on water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Chartered status with a relevant professional institution.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

The Project Manager roles will support the Associate Director (Workforce Strategy, Planning and Transformation) to facilitate workforce improvements in the system space. Each Project Manager will focus on areas relevant to the role: Planning: Work closely with workforce planning colleagues to support annual planning processes. In order to be successful, you must have previous experience working on civil works within the water industry in a management capacity and hold a CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid qualification. In addition, you will have a good understanding of NEC contracts and be able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders proficiently. Finally, you will have strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
