Lab Shut down and Maintenance Planner (FM) - Salisbury

Carbon60 are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Planner to join their clients site in Salisbury to assist with the Lab shut down and Maintenance on site.

• Contract: Permanent, £32,000 per annum

Key Tasks

To operate the CMMS including:

• Loading of asset data, manufacturer details onto the database and in liaison with the Operations Engineers schedule maintenance.
• Eliminating delays and obstacles through proper planning and coordination of parts, equipment down time and labour.
• Issuing and closing of job cards, together with the recording of comments, personnel details and also labour times to form an on-going history file for each asset.
• Maintains list of work orders waiting to be scheduled, by priority, with an estimated completion date. Unplanned jobs requiring engineering, waiting for materials, waiting for downtime, etc., are filed accordingly. When ready for scheduling, work orders are filed by required completion day.
• Once job is planned and estimated, prior to scheduling, the job holder will verify availability of parts, materials and special tools required for execution.
• Control and maintain the equipment numbering system and the issue of Equipment/Asset Labels. Record the movement of plant as and when it arises.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the SuiteReq system to provide help and guidance when required.
• Ensure that archiving of documents is carried out as per SOPs and the validated quality system on site.
• Completion of any other duties or projects, which are commensurate with a Maintenance Planner position, as defined by the Maintenance Manager.

Person Specification

• Proficient with maintenance planning and scheduling processes/procedures, procurement of materials, cost estimating, sub-contracting, and monitoring of job schedules and costs.
• Has knowledge of planning, estimating, and scheduling for various skilled trades (ex. mechanical, pipe, welding, etc.).
• Knowledgeable of manufacturing operations, processes and business requirements including day-to-day priorities. Knowledgeable of applicable regulatory and code requirements to ensure work is planned in compliance (asbestos, HSE, confined space, electrical codes, etc.)

Your Role:
This purpose of this hands on, highly operational, client focused role is to work alongside the Senior Project Manager to scope, plan and manage the successful delivery of large and complex face to face, virtual and digital learning and engagement programmes

Working on behalf of one of QA's key clients you will be responsible for ensuring that your programme achieves its objectives within agreed timescales and budget whilst ensuring that quality measures are continually adhered to.

Responsibilities:

• Manage operational risk within sensible parameters of QA Project and QA Business needs.
• Working alongside the Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for the successful delivery of large complex learning and engagement programmes in line with the plan and budget.
• Work closely with client Stakeholders and Solution Architect to scope the objectives, deliverables, timelines, dependencies, assumptions, risks and quality acceptance criteria.
• Support programme specific resourcing through clear role(s) definition, recruitment and quality assurance.

Skills & Qualification:

• Project Management experience is essential due to the scale and complexity of the programmes
• Fully familiar with project lifecycle and methodologies and hold a Prince 2 Practitioner or similar industry recognised qualification
• Experience of complex scheduling
• Experience of resource management
• Experience of effectively managing or mitigating against risk
• Excellent document writing skills
• Stakeholder management at a senior level

Role overview:

My client is a Leading Construction and Civil Engineering Contractor with an annual turnover approaching £1 Billion in the UK.

They are looking for an experienced Planner or Senior Planner to work alongside the current team on a range of earthworks, highways, structures, demolition, infrastructure, S278 and private rail schemes.

The company work nationally with the focus within 100mi of Northampton / The Midlands region.

They have live projects in the following areas:

Swindon, Guildford, Cambridge, Wellingborough, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Coventry, Cannock, Doncaster, Rugby, Corby, Towcester.

This requirement is concerned with a large-scale infrastructure project in the Swindon area which will form part of a major new development anticipated to be delivered over the next 5 years.

Responsibilities:

Creation and management of Tender, Contract and Construction programmes. Production of Tender deliverables, feeding information to contract reports for Client consumption. Holding site planning meetings, producing programme sequence / phasing slides. Amongst a wealth of other responsibilities.

Qualifications:

HND-C / Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Other related qualifications considered.

The role:

The company's planners sometimes work on one or more projects at once (value dependant) and will also look at tendering and future work as and when required. The work location is flexible and can be split between, Office, Site and home.

With a healthy looking forward order book they require another member for the C&I planning team.

This is a hybrid position, so a degree of home working will be permitted.

Key Skills / Qualifications:

• Educated to at least HNC/HND level in a relevant construction related subject matter
• A working knowledge of Asta Powerproject is preferred but not essential. P6 Planners will very much be considered
• Demonstrable experience in leadership, resource allocation and general management
• Experience in risk identification and assessment
• Detailed knowledge and experience of managing and maintaining a works programme
