The Opportunity...

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) established in 2023, is responsible for delivering the design for a number of NI buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E.

As a Civil building lead, you will be responsible for the civil design of one of the buildings, under the supervision and support of the Civil team lead. As such, you will be responsible for meeting the project requirements in terms of quality, program, and cost for their technical scope. You may have a small team of 1 or 2 civil engineers to manage.

Several positions are available, some on HPC and SZC project, with similar responsibilities but in different project contexts.

For the positions as part of the HPC integrated team in EPR-E (ITB), the Civil Building lead will be embedded in one of the three building teams in ITB. This building team, led by the corresponding Building Manager, is a multidisciplinary team responsible for the delivery of the design of a specific scope of buildings within the Nuclear Island. The Civil Engineer will be part of a civil team, led by the Civil team lead under the Building Manager.

For the positions in SZC project, the Civil Building lead will operate under the supervision of the Civil team lead and the Senior Civil Architect. As opposed to HPC, no multi-disciplinary teams are created per building, however the Civil Building lead will have interfaces with other disciplines located in other areas of the SZC project organisation.

- Receiving, analysing, and verifying the consistency of the input data.

In addition, for SZC positions:

- Supporting the preparation of technical documentation for procurement, jointly with the Contract Engineering Lead (CEL).
- Supporting the client –SZC Co
- on behalf of the CEL for the coordination of technical discussions during the procurement phase prior to the signature of the contract with the civil designer.
- Responsibility for the replication of the HPC design to SZC.

Who you are…

Your background may include some of the following:

- Bachelor / master’s degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering.
- Knowledge of or experience of civil engineering design contracts in the nuclear sector or other heavily regulated industry (such as oil & gas, rail).
- Experience in nuclear engineering and new nuclear build projects, HPC experience will be very advantageous.

About The Role
.Mobile Security Officer We are recruiting for a Mobile Security Officer to cover the Residential assistant role when relief cover is required at one of our sites. The role covers the South West and travel will be required.

This is a relief position working 12 hours per shift. The shifts start at 8pm and finish at 8am. The role will include weekends as well as weekdays and bank holidays working 48 hours per week. The hourly rate is £12 per hour plus attendance allowance.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this role as travelling will be required. You will need to have access to a vehicle. Fuel expenses will be covered. An SIA licence & first aid certificate is necessary for the role.

We are looking to expand our team which provides 24-hour support to residents at various Probation Service Approved Premises (AP) including security, welfare and monitoring services.

You will provide assistance and support to offenders to reduce their risk of re-offending, and ensure that residents, visitors, colleagues and the fabric of the premises are kept safe and secure.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role:

• Undertake regular inspections and patrols of the building, including patrols of common areas in accordance with local procedures /damage or defects
• Always maintain an active presence in the AP, always remaining awake and vigilant whilst on duty. Sleeping whilst on duty is not permitted.
• Monitor behaviour of high-risk residents and motivate residents to ensure compliance, and regularly engage with residents in a pro-social manner.
• Ensure that the AP is locked and secure during curfew period, and confirm the presence and wellbeing of residents overnight

Your new role
Joining a busy and specialist team, you will provide legal advice and assistance to customers over the phone, advising on various areas of law, focusing on property, family, private client and employment. As a Legal Advisor you can expect to be providing accurate, initial legal advice and assistance to clients by telephone and in writing on a range of private law matters, offering positive resolutions over the phone. You can expect to work your way through their specially designed career framework which will allow you to become an expert in core areas of law such as Employment, Property and Family.

What you'll need to succeed
As a minimum you'll be a Law graduate (LLB), ideally with customer service experience looking to take the next step into building your legal career. Our client is also keen to hear from more experienced candidates, particularly those with the LPC and/or with expertise in providing advice in various areas of law, particularly family, property, private client and employment. You must be confident when dealing with customers and able to manage difficult conversations effectively with strong listening and communication skills. Our client don't necessarily require any experience in core foundation areas of law, however, if you have previously advised in these areas that would be highly advantageous.

The Security Governance Specialist is responsible for assisting and deputising for the Security Governance Manager in engagement and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure controls are in place. They are to ensure that Information security requirements are clearly understood, operating effectively and adequately managed.

The Security Governance Specialist should have an excellent understanding of both business requirements and all aspects of the Information security framework. They will be responsible for carrying out the following specialised areas within the Security Governance team: Policy Review and User Awareness.

You'll be:

• Responsible for Policy and Standards development and maintenance in line with ISO27001.
• Develop and effectively promote all aspects of security awareness training material and awareness communications to enhance the security culture throughout the organisation.
• Assist Security Governance Manager with both client and internal governance activities to support information and cyber security. Deputise with attendance and presentation at both client and internal stakeholder meetings (as required).
• Ensure accurate management information relating to control oversight is provided and that actions relating to exceptions, non-adherence, issues and risks are effectively managed and reported and subject to appropriate remediation plans.
• Oversight to ensure compliance is maintained with the company's security policy and standards.
• Proactively help to ensure continuation of ISO27001 Certification.

• Strong Analytical and Interpersonal Skills
• Sufficient skills in governance best practices to assist with verifying control assurance of security controls against ISO27001
• Awareness of information security standards (eg Cyber Essentials, ISF Standard of Good Practice for Information Security, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Top 20 Controls)
• Able to review processes and procedures relating to operation of security controls and to make recommendation for their optimisation

We are recruiting Security Professionals based on site at His Majesty's Court & Tribunal Service buildings. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided. You just require a positive customer service approach in everything you do.

So, what does a typical day as a Court & Tribunal Security Officer look like? This is not an average security job and every day within the Court & Tribunals service brings something new. You will be entrusted to ensure a safe environment for this essential National service and will become an important part within the justice system. You will gain job fulfilment from protecting and helping society and vulnerable people throughout a difficult time in their lives.

The roles are mobile covering a geographic area defined by a 10 mile radius of your base location. You do not need to be able to drive, but do need to be able to get to all the different locations as you will be covering different shifts across the patch. Travel expenses and parking will be paid back to you and are processed three times per month. You will be working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with flexible and part-time hours if required. There is no weekend or night work, but we can often offer overtime on a Saturday, Sunday, and Bank holidays. The weekends will be paid at a generous rate of 1.5x for Saturdays and 2x for Sundays, alongside a rate of 1.5x for weekday overtime outside of normal court operating times.

Deliver the governance and assurance plan with the Security Governance and Assurance Manager
Gather data and organise input to the monthly Security Steering Group
Co-ordinate the Security Steering Group deck for the monthly meeting and ensure outputs, minutes and actions are delivered in a timely manner
Review, maintain and approve the security policies in line with Group Policy, UKandI specific requirements and regulatory instructions
Responsible for the quality and efficiency of the focus groups to ensure UKandI are focused on things which matter
Support the oversight and governance aspects of the Cognizant delivery
