Network Engineer, Mid
The Opportunity:
A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the Navy to achieve their mission, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? In this role you will play a critical part in ensuring Sailors are capable accessing technical manuals, performance support materials and training anytime, anywhere. Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to craft the exact network, the Navy needs.
As a network engineer on our team, you’ll work with the Navy on a reliable network to support critical missions and analyze all current Navy transport methods used to access training content worldwide. You’ll collaborate with SMEs, customers, and users to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You’ll then share your expertise during the planning of acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you’ll put your hardware and software talents to good use. This is your chance to share your experience with backbone networks, cloud technologies, and core networking, while broadening your network engineering work.

You Have:
3+ years of experience with design, planning, acquisition, installation, configuration, or maintenance of the network components
Knowledge of Navy networks, transport methods, and new DoD technologies
Knowledge of Agile tasking, including Kanban cards and project schedules
Ability to create a detailed diagram with little oversight using Visio
Ability to learn and stay updated on new Navy technologies
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cyber, or Engineering
Nice If You Have:
Knowledge of cloud architecture
Knowledge of specific Navy networks on ships, subs, and shore sites
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
