Finance Responsible for achieving the best impact from well-managed finances by: o ensuring the accuracy of any submissions required by the ICB/other authorities to claim all funding entitlement and to ensure that all monies due are received promptly o reviewing and approving operational services spend, monitoring income and expenditure and identifying and reporting to the CD and Network Board any significant deviations from forecast o planning and monitoring income and cash flow to ensure that income is maximised and that funds are available as required Present financial forecasts and budget reports to the PCN Board as required Ensure financial risks are recognised and discussed with the Clinical Director and Network Board members and appropriate action taken Ensure recommendations to the Board regarding allocation of resources are fair and equitable Manage the PCN bank account (currently a sub account within a Practice account) and all delegated budgets with propriety in line with all relevant organisational procedures Liaise with accountant and the Clinical Director to produce year-end accounts and present these to the Board in line with Network Agreement. Job Responsibilities

- Solve business problems and provide technology solutions to bank treasuries and risk departments

- Worked on Project Implementations with a hands-on approach to ensure the delivery of projects within time and quality constraints.

- Implement Projects focused on software solutions popular in the Financial Services Industry, specifically treasury.

- Build working relationship with sponsors, senior business managers and key end users to resolve issues related to prioritization, requirements definition or scope conflicts

- Establish and manage relationships with vendors of third party packaged software solutions for effective deployment of vendor-managed project resources and activities

Professional Requirements

- Bachelor Degree/Master’s Degree/MBA with 2-3 years experience.

- Strong mathematical and analytical skills

- Technical skills in Sybase/Oracle, shell scripting and Unix, Working knowledge of XML, Java, C/C++, Web technologies, Visual Basic including VBA

- Good understanding of the global financial markets covering current issues, market players, regulatory requirements and financial products will be a plus.

You will manage a reinsurance accounting and claims portfolio and supports the accounting operations within the Reinsurance CFO unit. This includes the responsibility for clients and complex reinsurance accounting and claims handling topics.

Based in Singapore on a 6 months' contract, you will actively contribute to process improvement and simplification initiatives (within the department and across different departments and interfaces) and participates in Quality Assurance (QA), quarter-closing activities and other special projects within the Group.

Your job:

Key Tasks:

• Provide leadership to staff in reinsurance accounting, technical accounting, claims handling and verifying completed work
• Enter and update complex treaties/losses
• Assist the manager with his/her disciplinary responsibilities
• Assume overall responsibility for the work area of the staff she or he supervises
• Support client discussions in the area of accounting and claims handling issues
• Help with or assuming a topic and process owner role in Reinsurance Accounting (if necessary on a global level)
• Contribute actively to and/or leading cross-unit projects and working groupsTransferring know-how, providing training within the unit (including in the International Organisation), and/or in the context of speaker activity for specialist reinsurance and Reinsurance Accounting topics (holding internal and external training courses – also in foreign languages where applicable).

Control Functions:

• Supervise and monitor a sub-team within the Regional Middle Office Centre
• Ensure consistency of account settlement and claims handling in the unit
• Systematically implement process simplification and optimisation
• Ensure, keep track of and further developing active portfolio management observing the QA guidelines
• Proactively monitor key performance indicators (overdue balances, unmatched cash, etc.) for the portfolio/markets responsible
• Prepare and perform accounting reviews at external clients’ place

Your profile:

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, with at least 5 years' relevant experience in Reinsurance Accounting and Claims handling
• Understanding of the interdependencies of Reinsurance Accounting Global Processes and Global Rules
• Understanding of the internal control systems and the effects of compliance provisions, and an ability to provide concrete suggestions
