You will form part of the Graphite Technology Group, whose remit is to manage the development and deployment of numerical modelling methods, which are designed to forecast the levels of radiolytic oxidation and degradation of the material properties of graphite core components. Current methods utilise either physically based models involving assessments of the chemistry and physics of the reactor system, or empirical methods based upon statistical analysis, with ongoing active development of hybrid approaches.

Who you are

We are looking for a Technical Planning Lead to join our nuclear energy business. You will join the Regulatory Interface and External Oversight (RI&EO) department in EDF Nuclear Generation Limited (NGL), which exists to provide independent (of the line) governance, oversight and support for regulatory and external oversight interfaces in the pursuit of safe, reliable operations supporting EDF’s existing nuclear operations fleet through to defueling. As the Software Analyst / Engineer, it will be your role to ensure application-based services for Nuclear Operations are supported and maintained in line with business need and technology changes.
