Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Application Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Application Support environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24x7 support environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide application support and maintenance for our core systems.
· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
· Perform impact analysis in a structured and efficient manner.
· Collaborate with development teams to implement solutions.
· Ensure high service quality and meet the demands of a 24x7 support environment.
· Be available for on-call duties and weekend production implementations as per the duty roster.
Skills and Experience Required:
Technical Competency:
Linux/Unix and Python Shell Scripting
SQL (preferably MariaDB/MySQL)
Java Programming (Primary Skill)
Desirable Experience:
Application Servers: JBoss
Middleware: IBM MQ, Apache ServiceMix, Active MQ
OpenShift
Business Intelligence tools: QlikSense/Tableau
TLM/CMS platforms with tools like Smartstudio, TLM Control, Smart Schema, Process Designer, and Web Connect
DevOps tools:Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, CA Release Automation
Microservices: Experience with OpenShift or AWS, Elasticsearch, and cloud-based service monitoring (Kubernetes, PaaS)
Knowledge of JSON, JSP, Servlet, and Java Restful API
Additional Skills:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage pressure.
· Basic understanding of Swift messaging.
· Experience in application implementation projects in financial institutions is advantageous.
Working Hours:
Standard office hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (may be staggered between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM).
On-call duty as per the roster.
Availability on weekends for production implementations is required.
