Independently conducts group guidance sessions of a varying nature. This counseling deals with institutional adjustment, U.S. Parole commission, release planning, and interpersonal communications, individual counseling sessions varying in methods and intensity relevant to the individual's problems. They may focus on helping the individual offender understand and live within the complex family circumstances and assist him in developing new adjustment techniques. DUTIES
 

This role is responsible for performing all cathodic protection measurements and data entry. This role assists System Integrity Technicians with ensuring the operational integrity and adequate cathodic protection on both transmission and distribution systems. 

This position is important because Duke Energy’s knowledge of the status of the cathodic protection is based on the CP test readings obtained by the Associate and Technicians.  This position requires a person who is meticulous about maintaining testing equipment calibrations, recording data accurately, assisting technicians in CP deficiency investigation and maintaining clear and accurate data records.  Additionally, it is vital that this person be able to work independently and able to use geospatial technology to perform their work.  The Associate communicates issues discovered during their work to the Technicians and supports them in resolving these issues.  

The System Integrity Technician Associate performs duties such as

• Maintain historical records of all cathodic protection readings and reports.  Input readings into and maintain pipeline compliance system (PCS).
• Assist with performing remedial action by locating, troubleshooting, current interruption and correcting CP deficiencies by implementing remedial activities such as installing anodes, test connections, coating repair and other maintenance work required to maintain adequate level of cathodic protection.
• Assist with coordination excavating crew in locating mains and installation of CP system.
• Assist in coordinating with company crews, utility companies, contractors and subcontractors and other entities in order to gain permits for the installation of CP components & remedial measures. 
• Complete maintenance work orders for any CP repairs.
• Coordinate contractor crew taking annual and periodic CP reads.
• Assist technicians with investigation of “no locates” and CP deficiencies.
• Inspect main/or service line casing for proper insulation and protection.
• Calibrating, servicing and maintaining test equipment's, ensuring they are always in good working condition.
• Update, manage and maintain cathodic protection data for all cathodically protected gas facilities in pipeline compliance system (PCS).
• Retrieving and correcting information obtained from PCS for review as required, such as pipe-to-soil potentials, rectifier and bond readings, investigation and maintenance information etc
• Preparing corrosion reports and field sketches in a format acceptable for entry into GIS system (eGIS) and PCS.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned and required. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have high school diploma or GED AND must have  taken high school algebra, chemistry or physics.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must demonstrate a good mechanical, mathematical and electrical aptitude.

About Ma3an Project:

Ma3an is a seven-year program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented in cooperation with the Presidency of the Government. Ma3an’s goal to increase Tunisian youth civic engagement and economic opportunities. At the community level, Ma3an uses a community-driven youth development model to inform and support sustainable interventions through ongoing collaboration between community actors that are inclusive, participatory, and solutions-driven. These include working with and through local CSO partners to understand local dynamics in each community; and implement community-driven youth development programming involving youth, local NGOs, local government, and other community leaders through community-specific grants.

In order to reinforce our Program Department, we are looking for qualified candidates for the position of Technical Program Officer – Youth Economic Empowerment

The Program Officer – Youth Economic Empowerment will work with and report to the Youth Economic Empowerment Technical Lead on all activities related to youth economic empowerment under Ma3an.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Support the implementation of Youth economic empowerment activities including working with Ma3an team members and experts to propose an initial model adapted to Tunisia; providing technical assistance as the partner applies and reports on the model; and synthesizing and sharing lessons learned that will facilitate the improvement and expansion of this model to additional partners.
• Support and work with regional team and partners on the integration and launch of youth economic empowerment hubs in the communities.
• Support the facilitation of group sessions with youth and partners in the YEE hubs and the identification of YEE initiatives.
• Work closely with partners and regional teams to review and support youth and YEE partners drafting the YEE initiatives concept notes and budgets.
• Capture and report success stories arise from the YEE activities.
• Support the identification of YEE stakeholders and activities to connect them to youth-community collaboration mechanisms and youth safe spaces that Ma3an is supporting in 33 communities.
• Identify opportunities for Ma3an youth and partners to connect with, benefit from, and collaborate with existing YEE resources, programs, and opportunities, including government or donor-supported programs.
• Support the monitoring, evaluation, and learning (ME&L) team and program staff in integrating a Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) approach into program activities.
• Contribute to the production of quarterly progress and annual reports and other reporting documents as needed.
• Ensure that activities are infused with principles of Do No Harm / Positive youth development/ conflict sensitivity and Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI).

Other Responsibilities

• Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Deputy Chief of Party
• Respect and abide by all the internal regulations of FHI 360 platform office.

Eligibility criteria

• Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, International Administration, International Development, International Business, Management, Public Administration or a related field
• A minimum of three years’ relevant professional experience on international development programs and/or work in the civil society sector of Tunisia and/or other countries
• Experience managing relevant programs in the target communities, such as youth development and/or community engagement/mobilization programs in Tunisia
• Experience with design and management of civil society grants programs preferred
• Familiarity with international development donors’, particularly USAID, programs, rules and regulations highly desired
• Ability to work effectively with local partners and stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in French and/or Arabic; Excellent oral and written communication skills in English strongly preferred

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes medical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods, substances and equipment. (30%)
• Receives, stocks, packages, and distributes medical instruments and equipment. (30%)
• Performs and documents required quality assurance testing and inspection on stock. Inventories and reorders supplies. (30%)
• Properly disposes of biohazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and unusable equipment and supplies. (10%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• For Central Service Technician (CST) hired after 12/29/2020 -- Employees who practice central sterile by the health care facility on or before December 29, 2020 are exempt from certification requirements:
  • Pass a nationally accredited central service exam within 18 months from hire date
  • Maintain one of the following: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) OR Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)

Preferred

• Sterile processing or hospital setting experience.
• Enrollment in a surgical tech / sterile processing program.

Job Overview

The Georgetown University Law Center's Information Systems Technology (IST) department is seeking a highly motivated Senior Director of Technology Operations, Client Services and GOCard Operations to lead and support network, security, GOCard, telecommunications, enterprise operations – including Client Services and Helpdesk Operations at the Law Center campus.

The Senior Director serves as the technology expert with responsibility for leading technical initiatives in a fast-paced and service-oriented environment that focuses on continual improvement for the institution. As well, they oversee all technical aspects of Technical Operations and Client Services group of the Information Systems Technology department, and manage the Service Desk that provides technology and AV support to Georgetown University Law Center.

They work with University and Law Center network administrators, database administrators, security administrators, project managers, technical directors and application developers, Client Services and Helpdesk – as well as with faculty, staff, students, project stakeholders and vendors as it pertains to implementation, maintenance, administration and design of all Technical Aspects of the Law Center.

As well, they manage the service desk team and work with University and Law Center network administrators, database administrators, security administrators, project managers, technical directors and application developers - as well as faculty, staff, students, project stakeholders and vendors regarding the support and service management of the technical services provided at the Law Center.

Work Interactions

The Senior Director of Technology Operations, Client Services and GOCard Operations reports to the Assistant Dean of Technology and Chief Information Officer, and interacts with all staff, faculty, students of Georgetown Law, UIS, Vendors and Integrators.

• Bachelor’s degree (preference for Master’s in Computer Science, MIS, or Masters in a computing field) or commensurate experience and at least 7 years of total professional work experience in the IT field, including at least 3 years of data and voice network experience sufficient to demonstrate competency and capability with IP telephony, VoIP, phones, network switches, routers, wireless access points, cabling infrastructure and standards to include copper, coax, and fiber, wireless technologies and 3 years of experience with cloud-based enterprise systems.
• 5 or more years working in IT Operations in medium size work environments with 500 or more employees
• Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrable by an ability to translate complex and technical concepts into readily understood language for end users, project managers, business analysts, management, and other stakeholders
