You will be excellent at time management and be able to work with initiative. You will be part of the fostering service and work with colleagues within children’s services, so positive communication skills are key.
We need someone who understands the importance of quality processes and data and can contribute to service improvements. Social media plays a big part in our communication and marketing to prospective foster carers, so you will ideally have knowledge and ideas in this field as a vital part of your role. Confidence in social settings is required, as you will facilitate attendance at a variety of foster carers training sessions in community venues, opening the sessions on behalf of the trainers, providing refreshments, and recording attendance.
About us
You will be joining a long standing, stable, Fostering Service, and you will be part of Team 1 within the service Recruitment & Training. We also work very closely in collaboration with all 10 of the Greater Manchester Combined Authorities to develop innovative and creative recruitment events.
We are looking to recruit a Recruitment Assistant who wants to make a difference to the lives of children in our local community. Someone who is passionate about recruitment/marketing, and understands internet and social media recruitment, and is ready for a challenge.

You will also support the team in the management and administration of our robust training programme which supports the learning and development of our foster carers.
The successful candidate will complete a Level 3 Business Admin Apprenticeship. While undertaking the apprenticeship the salary for the post will initially be £23,151.
Upon completion of the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will progress to the substantive salary of the Recruitment Assistant which is currently £23,327 to £23,633.
The role is partly community based as you will be required to visit venues within the borough, therefore, access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential.
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week, but evening or weekend work is likely to be occasionally required in line with the service needs.
