A charity in the city centre who provide fantastic support to communities locally are looking for a skilled administrator to join their HR team on a temporary basis to cover sickness.
Your new role
Working in a small yet efficient HR operation, you will be supporting the HR manager with employee-based administration such as note-taking, policy reviews, letter generation and employee database maintenance. This diverse administration post will see you tackling different tasks each day, and will see you working from the factorial system as well as MS Office software. You will manage an inbox as well as any other administration needed to support the HR manager in their day-to-day duties.
What you'll need to succeed
Prior HR administration experience is preferential, however any administrative background will be considered as long as you are adaptable. You will be a confident system user that is used to navigating new systems with light touch training. You will be using your stand-out attention to detail daily for employee contract changes, personal detail amends or policy changes. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to navigate and signpost enquiries to the relevant team member in a professional and personable fashion. As the HR Administrator, you will report to the HR Business Partner and ensure that HR related administration is completed accurately and is 100% compliant. This will include ensuring systems are updated with new starters, leavers, personal details, banking information as well as amendment to salaries etc. You will be responsible for obtaining references and ensuring that new employees are compliant, and all relevant information is collated.You will also run reports for sales and commissions for the field-based beauticians. You will also liaise with employees on a day-to-day basis and will build and maintain internal relationships and develop and gain credibility in house as well as with external providers.

What you need

You will ideally have come from a beauty, retail or hospitality background.

At least 1 - 2 years HR Administration experience

Must have experience of processing payroll

Ideally, you will be immediately available to start work.

CMA HR Division is currently assisting one of their clients to recruit a Senior HR Advisor on a permanent basis in their attractive offices in Southampton, Hampshire.

Reporting to the HR Business Partner the purpose of the role is to provide professional, business focused and timely Employee Relations advice to key stakeholders in the business. The Senior HR Advisor will be responsible for their own caseload, occasional policy review, and providing ER insight into projects where required.

What will the role Senior HR Advisor involve?

• Foster positive working relationships with employees, minimising problems and issues and fostering a positive climate for ER.
• Ensure that all queries and activities are responded to within the agreed Service Level Agreements.
• Provide consistent and specialist employee relations advice and day to day support on employment related issues, including sickness absence management, disciplinary, grievance, performance management and flexible working cases.
• To liaise with Occupational Health and support the absence management process.
• To support the business with consultations, redundancies, restructures and reorganisations.
• To remain up to date with employment legislation and to share knowledge with colleagues.
• Ad hoc specialist ER input into business projects as required.

Suitable Candidate for Senior HR Advisor:

• Ideally level 5 CIPD or equivalent.
• Ability to compose comprehensive correspondence in relation to employee relations issues, e.g. sickness, disciplinary, grievance, dismissal and flexible working.
• Ability to present yourself confidently, credibly and effectively.
