Tate Recruitment is working with a progressive and community-focused local authority dedicated to enhancing the lives of residents within Hertfordshire. As part of their commitment to fostering a positive work environment and supporting our employees, we are seeking 3 talented HR Officers to join a dynamic Business Partner Team.
Position Overview:
As a key member of the Business Partner Team, the HR Officer will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive HR support and guidance to various departments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with stakeholders, implement HR strategies, and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor to department managers, offering guidance on employee relations, performance management, and HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives aligned with organisational goals and objectives.
- Support recruitment processes, including job posting, candidate screening, and interview coordination, to ensure the selection of qualified candidates.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, facilitating smooth transitions and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Handle employee inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, fostering a positive employee experience.
- Maintain accurate HR records and databases, always ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and practices, identifying opportunities for enhancement and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in an HR role, preferably within a local authority or public sector environment.
- Sound knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment legislation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office suite.
- CIPD qualification or working towards certification is desirable.
