Psychology Program Manager (Quality Assurance Officer) works within the Veterans Crisis Line (VCL), Quality, Training and Risk Management. Responsibilities are complex in scope and have a nationwide impact including the ability to ensure implementation of an effective enterprise quality management system that includes monitoring and evaluating the quality of clinical and administrative processes throughout the Veterans Crisis Line.

Major Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Serves as a subject matter expert in the areas of quality management and enterprise risk management for the Veterans Crisis Line and is responsible to ensure the effective implementation of an enterprise quality management system.
• Responsible for strategic planning to ensure the provision of high quality services, including planning, developing, and implementing short and long-term goals and objectives consistent with the VCL's strategic plan.
• Ensures the program is meeting regulatory/accreditation standards, including Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), American Association for Suicidality (AAS), and VHA policies.
• Responsible for clinical quality indicators including analysis of data from Silent Monitored phone calls, end of call satisfaction question, and complaint/compliment tracking. Following data analysis the incumbent will provide applicable recommendations to improve processes.
• Develop and implement programs, policies, and procedures to meet program goals, VHA policy and external accreditation requirements, and monitor outcomes using data-driven quality assurance processes, and implement strategies for improvement based on data analysis.
• Ability to balance responsibilities in a complex environment and to work with great autonomy; ability to set priorities and delegate tasks, meet multiple deadlines, analyze complex organizational problems; and ability to develop and implement effective solutions for those problems.
• Serves as a member of VCL's Executive Leadership Council and works closely with the VCL's Clinical Advisory Board (CAB), Member Services, Suicide Prevention Office, Office of Mental Health Operations, Mental Health Services, and key stakeholders to ensure the quality of service delivery.
• Plans initiatives in a myriad of assignments that cross multiple organizational lines as well as federal and state agencies and develops national policy and procedures related to delivery of care including VHA directives, handbooks, manuals, training guides, information letters, clinical practice guidelines, standards and criteria for the VCL Quality Assurance Program.
• Develop education to be disseminated nationwide via webinar and other technological platforms.
• Consults with members of the Suicide Prevention Office and Suicide Prevention Researchers within and external to VA to determine effective clinical interventions and public health strategies for crisis intervention and suicide prevention among Veterans and Service Members.
• Other duties as assigned.

Environmental Health & Safety Management (EHS) is a pivotal element within an organization, focusing on implementing practices, policies, and procedures to ensure employees' safety and well-being and protect the environment. EHS is critical in fostering a sustainable working environment, minimizing risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, which vary across industries and regions. Responsible for establishing environmental health and safety policies and procedures that ensure compliance with company, customer, and government regulations within the following functions: health and safety, industrial hygiene, or environmental protection.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure compliance with local, customer, and obligations regulations, develop and implement safety and environmental policies, conduct risk assessments, and promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within organizations.
• Developing, Implementing, and maintaining an Integrated Management system ( ISO45001, ISO14001, RBA, and PSM ) compliance and maintaining EHS policies, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance and industry standards.
• Overseeing environmental sustainability initiatives, such as waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainability efforts, is crucial to minimizing the organization's environmental impact.
• Provide EHS training and education to employees and management to enhance awareness and understanding of EHS policies and procedures.
• Regular EHS audits and inspections are conducted to ensure compliance and prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities.
• EHS Managers work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, engineering, and human resources, to integrate EHS practices into daily operations.
• Manage the EHS budget, identifying cost-effective solutions for EHS initiatives and equipment purchases.
• Developing organizational skills and managing multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines requires excellent organizational skills, ensuring that all aspects of EHS management are addressed promptly
• Ensure periodicity audit schedule plan is provided and reviewed to meet regulatory requirements for ISO14001, ISO45001, RBA, PSM, and other standard requirements.
• Efficiently and effectively solve problems and possess expertise in identifying issues and implementing practical solutions
• Staying current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes is vital to keep EHS programs current and effective.
