The role
As a Senior Health and Safety Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be responsible for undertaking inspection and monitoring activities to monitor compliance with Cavendish Nuclear health and safety management arrangements and for the production of the Health and Safety Management System
Day-to-day, you'll design, develop and deliver HSE services for a business to meet the current and future needs of the business and such that all relevant Company standards and legislative requirements are achieved.
- Lead and manage teams to ensure effective staff development, utilization, and deployment.
- Develop and implement HSE audit and inspection programs to ensure compliance with laws and business policies.
- Provide proactive HSE advisory services to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs, SLAs, and objectives.
- Support the SSHEQR Director in defining and enforcing standards, providing HSE advice, and promoting a strong HSE culture.
- Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with group policy and legal requirements.
- Manage, monitor, and control budgets and plans to meet department obligations and business objectives within budget.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Senior Health and Safety Manager
- Have a proven track record within a senior health and safety role, working within a highly regulated/high hazard industry.
Qualifications for the Senior Health and Safety Manager
- Level 3 accredited Health and Safety Qualification or equivalent. Examples include BSC Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health, or National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) Level 3 Health and Safety at Work, or NEBOSH General Certificate
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
