Our client, Duggal Services (Healing Hands Complete Care) is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering high-quality care and support to patients across Sydney and regional NSW. HHCC prides themselves on a compassionate, patient-centred approach that values the dignity and well-being of every individual. They are currently seeking multiple (7-10) experienced Personal Care Assistant/ Health Care Assistant to join their team on Full Time basis in Sydney and around.
Position Overview:
As a Personal Care Assistant/ Health Care Assistant, you will provide essential support to HHCC nursing staff and patients, ensuring a high standard of care. This role is perfect for a compassionate individual with valid certification and experience who is eager to make a difference in the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance with daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, and feeding.
• Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
• Assist with meal preparation, serving, and monitoring nutritional intake.
• Follow individual care plans to deliver personalized care, including for patients with special needs, such as dementia or physical disabilities.
• Administer basic treatments and assist with rehabilitation exercises under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
• Monitor and report any changes in patients’ physical or emotional condition to the nursing or medical staff.
• Support patients with medication management, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of medications as per guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment, including the tidiness of the patient’s room and equipment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, promoting social interaction and a positive atmosphere.
• Assist patients with light housekeeping tasks and other duties as assigned to improve their quality of life.
Must Have:
• Certificate III or higher qualification in related field.
• Atleast 2 year of experience in a similar field, preferably in aged care, hospital, or healthcare settings.
Skills Required:
• Strong understanding of patient care practices and protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, if required.
Successful candidate will be on an annual salary of $70,000 to $80,000 Plus Superannuation.
