Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Biomedical Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. The intern will assist in the design, development, and testing of medical devices, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in the biomedical engineering field and work on innovative technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, prototyping, and testing of biomedical devices and systems.
• Support the development of technical documentation, including reports, protocols, and user manuals.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, FDA).
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory submissions and documentation.
• Work on projects related to improving existing medical products or developing new products.
• Participate in team meetings, project planning, and brainstorming sessions.
• Provide technical support to other departments, as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or completed a Bachelor’s program in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of biomedical devices, materials, and regulatory requirements is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze and solve issues in the Industrial hygiene program
• Assist external staff that arrive to conduct industrial hygiene measurements and check the accuracy of reports
• Chemical register on CIMCHAM database, Update the register of chemicals that must be reported to government agencies
• Support department activities e.g., Health promotion events, Safety committee meetings, etc
• Database design e.g., Industrial Hygiene report
• Support and review Hazard identification and risk assessment for the department

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify and assess hazards, risks, and control measures for specific operations or processes
• Conduct ongoing reviews of operations and processes to identify potential hazards, risks, and control measures that should be implemented to reduce these risks
• Provide relevant knowledge to employees
• Implement the Industrial Hygiene Monitoring program
• Ensure that all company employees comply with OSHA requirements
• Provide training for new hires, if necessary
• Ensure that health, safety, and environmental policies are followed
• Investigate workplace accidents and injuries, and report them to the appropriate authorities
• Assess conformity with legal and regulatory requirements
• Submit a safety report to the government agency
