We are recruiting for an SEN Interventions Teaching Assistant to add to our incredibly successful interventions team. With a professional advocate that has over 20 years of experience of working in our setting, you will be well supported in making a significant impact on our children's lives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To plan and provide specialist support to pupils with identified disabilities, SEN, sensory impairments and complex needs to access a broad and balanced curriculum of education by modifying and adapting learning activities as appropriate.
To support the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of students, contributing to planning and facilitating children and young people's learning and development. To apply their knowledge and understanding of a relevant area of the curriculum, age range or SEN, in supporting all students.
Works in partnership with teaching professionals educational specialists, advisors, psychologists, speech and language therapists, etc, Managing 1-1 learning activities in the child’s home environment after joint initial assessment with the specialist Teacher, Educational psychologists, Health visitors e.g. to share information, agree/organise visits or seek advice.
To promote positive behaviour and relationships, using effective strategies in a timely manner in accordance with school policy.
We are looking for someone who has:
NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification e.g. Teaching Assistant awards, English GCSE (A*-C), Level 2 Basic Skills Literacy, CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Child Care and Education
Experience of supporting planning, evaluation and delivery of learning activities for children and young people in a formal setting.
Awareness of a range of frameworks that support the education, development and well-being of children.
