Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia requires 4 workers to work within our Maintenance Department as a Trade Assistant/Handyperson fabrication, maintenance, repair and installation of all aspects of the Designated Hotel zone including guest rooms, offices etc located in Yulara, NT.

The day-to-day duties may include:

• Carry out all related maintenance and repairs as requested by the Maintenance Manager in a
professional-like manner.
• Minor repairs, reprogramming, service and fault finding to guest room air-conditioning units, hotel lightening and electronic door locks and room safes
• Be responsible for the maintenance and security of all tools provided
• Carry out all preventative maintenance as per the schedule laid down by the programmed
maintenance manuals

You will be required to use tools and equipment such as motor vehicle, lawn mower, gardening tools, leaf blower, hedge trimmers, work individually and in a team with others, and have the ability to work quickly and with accuracy.

The work is physical, and you may be required to work in a harsh desert environment with temperatures that range from 12 to 45 degrees Celsius.

You will be employed on a full-time basis of $28.53 per hour under the terms and conditions of the Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia Pty Ltd Enterprise Agreement 2016 (Resort Worker Level 3A) and receive a minimum of 38 hours per week.

About You
As a Assistant Chef that will mean cooking and serving nutritious, healthy meals that our Residents will love. You’ll provide outstanding support to our First Chef, taking charge in their absence. And, whether you’re managing the food stock, working out how to make the most of your budget, coaching a colleague or supervising the kitchen clean-up, you’ll always have Resident wellbeing in mind above anything else.

St Aidan’s Catholic Academy is part of Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust which is one of four Trusts in the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. The Trust includes five Secondary and twenty-five Primary Schools across South Tyneside, Sunderland and East Durham.

Salary: Band 4, Scale Point 7-11, £20,899 – £22,349 (actual pro rata pay)

Start Date: Immediate (after pre-employment checks)

Contract: Permanent/Term time, plus 5 days (includes inset days)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Monday – Friday, 06:40am – 14:40pm (includes 30 min lunch break)
