As a Supervisory National Bank Examiner (Examiner-In-Charge), you will:

• Be responsible for the strategic planning and supervision of large and complex national banks. Provide expert advice and guidance to Deputy Comptrollers (DCs) for Large Bank Supervision, the SOC for Large Bank Supervision, and Executive Committee on emerging risks within these financial institutions and any operating subsidiaries.
• Manage the supervision of all of the bank's operations including innovative and non-conventional banking activities. Develop systems and programs that focus on achieving OCC's goals and priorities. Serve on task forces conducting analyses, surveys, or investigations of major issues.
• Identify policy issues and systemic risks and recommends solutions to peers, the Committee on Bank Supervision (CBS), and other OCC senior supervision officials. Work with other Large Bank Examiners-In-Charge and the Large Bank DCs overseeing the Large Bank supervision program.
• Serve as the OCC's primary communication link with senior bank management, the board of directors, and its committees to discuss bank condition, regulatory/policy, environmental issues, and negotiate supervisory matters of complex and/or controversial nature.
• Serve as OCC spokesperson with bank executives, officials of Federal and State banking agencies, and/or banking industry and legislative leaders, discuss matters of mutual concern, provide industry perspective, and promote cooperation on shared regulatory concerns.
• Ensure understanding of OCC goals, initiatives, and programs by all employees. Provide day-to-day supervision of the bank through teams of examiners and support and provide OCC policy and program direction to staff.
• Oversee the quality of reports of examination and correspondence for the assigned banking company and provide input to licensing and legal issues.
• Develop/implement strategies for the assigned Large Bank that reflect changes in the economic and regulatory environment, issues common to the Large Bank population, changes within the institution, and assessment of the risks assumed by the institution. Develop regulatory response to the institution on a wide array of bank supervision issues.
• Assess emerging businesses and risks, new products or services. Develop and implement innovative supervisory approaches to address new issues for the company.
• Lead, motivate, coach and develop staff. Plan/assign work to be accomplished by staff. Make decisions on work problems. Provide advice/counsel on work and administrative matters. How You Will Achieve It

• Revenue Forecasting – The Puerto Rico Finance Manager is responsible for developing Sub BU revenue forecasts including creating multiple revenue forecasts for each product. Prior to submission, the Puerto Rico Finance Manager will review each forecast with the assigned business unit commercial and finance lead.  Finally, the Puerto Rico Finance Manger will work with the marketing brand teams in the development of the annual Operating Plan and Long Range Forecasts.

• Expense Management – The Puerto Rico Finance Manager must collaborate with brand teams on expense management of budgets and on the development of expense forecasts. The Puerto Rico Finance Manager will manage Puerto Rico market field force financial activities and cost center reporting including budgeting, forecasting, expense reporting and analysis.    

• Month/Quarter Close – The Puerto Rico Finance Manager is responsible for key accounting activities required at period close. This includes recording expense accruals, recording contractual rebates, completing balance sheet reconciliations, GMX cost of sales analysis and performing accounts receivable reviews.

  Reporting – The Puerto Rico Finance Manager is responsible for tracking brand performance (i.e. weekly, monthly, and quarterly) as well as identifying and communicating key performance drivers to the North America Finance Lead, Commercial Leaders including Brand and Finance management.

• Provide analysis and insight into the Sub BU and brand P&Ls including revenues, cost of sales, and A&P spend which requires that there is an understanding of the products and their competitive

• Lead all Local and Global Mosaic entries and adhoc FP&A inputs as directed by the US finance lead.  Finally, there may be additional requirements by sub BU and the Puerto Rico Finance Manager will be responsible for additional adhoc reporting deliverables.    

• Lead Continuous Improvement, owning the design and optimization of current and future processes, ensuring efficiency, standardization and implementation of processes, working closely with key partners.

This position helps patients understand their insurance options and make informed employment and insurance decisions. The Insurance Counselor will help alleviate the stress that dialysis patients often experience in navigating complicated insurance options and employment decisions while also managing their healthcare needs. 

To be successful, the Insurance Counselor must have a passion for customer service and the ability to build trust and rapport with patients and teammates. Teammates in this role will gain expertise in motivational interviewing as well as expert knowledge of commercial and government health insurance benefits, financial assistance programs, and work leave options.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. The scope of the Insurance Counselor is primarily supporting patients who have existing commercial insurance coverage or who are uninsured.

• Conducts patient insurance education while operating within established compliance parameters of the company
• Identifies and effectively communicates opportunities to better the insurance status of the patient to help reduce or alleviate financial risk and burden
• Provides information to patients to help them find and/or secure options for insurance coverage and other financial assistance programs as necessary

• Provides monthly reporting and analysis on key metrics related to patient education and advocacy as well as actively participates in monthly operations reviews on assigned patient portfolio

Ideal candidate will facilitates growth initiatives for the Bank through significant business development and excellent management of key client relationships. Maintains an outstanding and continuous record of significant revenue generation from sales and syndications. Ensures the required internal control standards, including adherence to audit, regulatory and compliance policies.

• Develops new business by contacting prospects and clients, and by cross-selling Bank products and services that include credit, trust/investment and cash management.
• Participates and provides leadership in Bank and community activities to increase Bank’s brand visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
• Applies deep expertise in bank products, processes and systems and effectively trouble shooting to ensure a high-quality client experience.
• May coordinate closing with closing department, clients and attorneys.
• Serves as a daily escalation resource to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
• Advises clients on loan products, options, rates, terms and collateral requirements.
• May advise business clients on cash management/deposits solutions.
