The North West Ambulance Service is recruiting Dispatchers for its Emergency Operations Centres in Liverpool, Manchester, and Preston. Working alongside 999 call handlers, you will be responsible for dispatching emergency resources and communicating via radio with our paramedics and other emergency responders.

The Emergency Operations Centres receive emergency calls and dispatch ambulances 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The Emergency Operations Centres are fast paced environments and excellent typing speeds are an essential requirement. We are seeking to recruit a substantive Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Preston CAMHS Team, based at Ellen House in Preston. The post is full time (10PA).

In addition, we would also like to offer the successful applicant a place on our ‘Safety and Improvement Fellowship’ programme. In LSCft, we have worked in collaboration with Lancaster University andMatthew Syed Consultingto create a development programme that will build upon the skills and experience you have developed so far in the improvement and enable you to take it to a much deeper level. The cost of this programme will be funded by the Trust.

The postholder will be expected to participate on the Consultant On Call rota, for which additional remuneration will be payable.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive administration and information service and coordinate their activities with other members of the administration team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided. They will provide cover to other teams on various sites as and when required when directed by the Team Leader to ensure continuity of a quality service.



The post holder will be the first point of contact for the unit / department providing a comprehensive customer service. The Team Administrator duties will also include minute taking, finance duties and will require a flexible approach to work on a rota to cover a 9-5 service x 7 days a week. Weekend working will be based at Wesham Rehab Unit.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and resilient ClinicalEducator,working 37.5 hours perweek. You willbe required to work flexible shifts, as well as across-site working.

This is apermanent role,where you will contribute to practice education for clinical nursing staff within both endoscopy units. If you have an interest in clinical education and are keen to develop new skills, then this could be the role for you!

It is essential that you are able to demonstrate proven substantial experience of working within the area of endoscopy and you must be able to show that have had experience of working in an acute clinical environment.

Working as a Band 6, the post will be split between the two JAG accredited Endoscopy units within the Trust at CDH and RPH. Across both units, we carry out a wide range of both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures to both outpatients and inpatients, these include:

Royal Preston Hospital procedures:
• GI procedures including; OGD/Colonoscopy/Flexible sigmoidoscopy/Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR)/Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)/ Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) endoscopy.
• GI Emergency Bleed rota
• As part of the National BCSP we undertake the FOBt screening lists.
• Diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy including: Endobronchial Ultrasound/Trans Bronchial Needle Aspiration (EBUS/TBNA)/Endobronchial Valves and coils and stents/Thoracoscopy/Indwelling Pleural catheter (IPC) placement/Nasal-endoscopy for Induced Laryngeal Obstruction (ILO).

Chorley Hospital procedures:
• GI procedures including; OGD/Colonoscopy/Flexible sigmoidoscopy/Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR)/Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)/Breath Tests
• As part of the National BCSP we undertake the FOBt Screening lists.
• Diagnostic bronchoscopies
