We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, digital first Product and Portfolio Director for the APAC region to join our Digital and Technology (D&T) team at CBRE Investment Management. The Product and Portfolio Director will lead the digital transformation for IM in the APAC region and will be the primary point of contact for regional leadership and key business stakeholders applying domain knowledge to help design, deliver and support high value add Digital solutions. We are looking for someone with a passion to innovate, an entrepreneur who likes working backward from customer needs and tackling complex ambiguous problems.
You will be responsible for the design, execution and implementation of IMs digital strategy in the region, being the thought leader and partner for digital innovation. Next to that you will help drive and design IMs digital strategy globally in close partnership with your Digital Product colleagues. You will drive competitive differentiation for digital in the APAC region and understand the Digital strategy of our partners and peers. You will be responsible for proactively managing and maintaining stakeholder engagement and work in close collaboration with the other D&T departments across the Globe. You will be responsible for ensuring the proper balance between business needs, technology options, and user experience to maximize product value and increase efficiency.
This role is housed within our Global Digital Product team, responsible for driving the Product Vision & Strategy across the value chains and business segments. This is a mission-critical role with substantial scope, complexity, executive visibility, and has a large opportunity for impact!
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
– Develop and communicate a comprehensive vision, product roadmap, and articulate the short-term and long-term strategy holistically for the APAC region, ensuring tight alignment to business strategy and OKRs and the Global Digital strategy. Take overall responsibility for delivering to the APAC digital strategy and roadmap and act as a direct execution manager for certain key initiatives.
– Build and maintain relationships with key business stakeholders to understand priorities, needs, and opportunities for enablement
– Works closely with designers, engineers, and business professionals in a collaborative environment to support the creation of strategic, product roadmaps.
– Draws upon (regional) customer insights to drive the software product vision and direction in close partnership with the respective Digital Product Managers; Provides leadership in identifying and defining ongoing product features that align with business strategy.
– Partner with Business Analytics, Client Data teams to ensure proper data governance and usability of captured data for analytics purposes.
– Hands-on management of day-to-day execution of product delivery in region with focus on building a competitive and differentiating data backed digital advantage.
– Stay up to date on industry trends, anticipate future market needs, and stay abreast of investment management trends and digital advancements specific to the APAC region as well as across the Globe.
– Work in close collaboration with Data and Data Science teams to drive product embedded analytics and associated insights.
– Lead product delivery collaboration across business, engineering and data teams, as well as partner on user onboarding, change management and continued product satisfaction.
– Establish metrics and measure progress towards increasing adoption.
– Effectively run governance forums and manage product budgets and overall team performance./
– Uses technical and product expertise to ensure that the business priorities and deliverables are prioritized on the Product roadmaps and backlogs.
– Facilitates discussions, user story development and refinement, and testing and validation; contributes to roadblocks resolution and decision making.
– Provides regular updates; manages executive stakeholder communication and reporting in the APAC region.
– Acts as a single point of contact for ongoing support and services for the APAC region. Prioritizes needs, engages various technical teams, as needed, routes requests to correct owners, and ensures support is provided to internal or external satisfaction.
– Actively engages in Agile process, including daily scrum sessions, demos, and testing activities, as well as training and change management activities, as needed.
– Manages changes to features and communication in region to ensure there is clear indication of what is required for each release.
