About the job
• Leading a team of finance professionals. Oversee the operations and development of the company’s finance departments including creating and reviewing policies and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
• Timely and effective handling of month-end closing process.
• Timely preparation and review of monthly management reports.
• Oversee AP, AR, and GL functions. Monitoring turnover days and support for customer and vendor management.
• Review of Intercompany Reporting and liaise with counterparty for account reconciliation.
• Review Fixed Assets recording and filing.
• Treasury Management - Prepare cash flow forecasts, cash flow statements and projection, including placement of Fixed Deposits, FX hedging, Bank Guarantee etc.
• Liaise with auditors for year-end audit, including preparation of the necessary schedules and financial statements. Robust knowledge on project accounting and revenue recognition.
• Liaise with tax agents for various tax filings e.g. annual corporate tax including preparation of the necessary schedules.
• Sound knowledge in cross border taxation.
• Liaise with corporate secretary for preparation of Board Resolutions.
• Support ongoing Finance automation projects.
• Provide support and advice for executive management on business decisions.
• Identify areas with exposure to risk/potential risk and suggest solutions to mitigate the risks. Constantly looking into strengthening current internal control and process improvement.
• Keep abreast of on-going accounting and reporting changes in IFRS and local reporting standards.
Requirements
• Possess bachelor’s degree in accountancy and finance and / or master’s degree in business administration (top rated universities).
• Possess accounting certification (CPA/ CA/ ACCA).
• Possess a minimum of 8 – 10 years of related experience, thereof at least 4 years in one of the big fives.
• Knowledge in SAP system will be advantageous & BI tools.
• Strong Communication & Presentation Skills.
• Team player & excellent leadership skills.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Successful track record in establishing high performing Finance teams.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Driven by passion to go for the extra mile.
