We are recruiting High Intensity CBT trainees to join Croydon Talking Therapies. Postholders will spend three days a week in the service and over the other two days, they will undertake the PG Dip in CBT course at Royal Holloway University of London. There is an expectation from Royal Holloway and Croydon Talking Therapies that successful applicants will stay in their posts and complete the training which will last till early 2026.

We are a large IAPT service (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) and currently have over 100 staff. We provide a full range of NICE recommended step 2 and 3 interventions for depression and anxiety including CBT, IPT, Counselling, and EMDR. We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate team players, committed to working for our Croydon communities, offering patient-centred, responsive and high-quality psychological health and wellbeing services.



The postholders will join the Croydon Talking Therapies service to deliver high quality cognitive-behavioural therapy to clients with depression and / or anxiety.

Postholders will be expected to see clients in GP surgeries and outpatients clinics, as well as remotely. All staff are required to work one evening per week. Successful applicants can expect to join a highly valued and motivated IAPT workforce which consists of cognitive behavioural therapists, clinical / counselling / health psychologists, counsellors, PWPs, career coaches and our admin team.

Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine(single specialty or dual with anaesthesia, acute, respiratory or renal medicine)
The Critical Care Consultant rota at East Kent Critical Care expanded from January 2022 from a 1:8 to a 1:12 to support the increase in bed base to 24 beds. The junior doctor rota has also increased from two tiers to three tiers.

Appointees to a dual specialty role will work a split of 5 PAs ICM, 3 PAs second specialty (with up to 2 additional PAs available), 2 SPA. Total 10, max 12.



Role Specific Duties:

• Provide a Consultant delivered service in the Critical Care department.

• Assist the Critical Care Outreach Team in the care of critically ill patients on the general wards.

• Contribute to teaching and supervision of Critical Care trainees.

• Participate in the dedicated intensive care on-call rota. (On-call for this post is only for intensive care.)

• Participate in the department’s monthly morbidity and mortality review.

Cross-site working on either of the East Kent Critical Care’s other units at Canterbury or Margate is encouraged and supported. Regular job-planned activity on other sites is available. We ask all new appointees to be available to work on each site in the event of staff shortages across the Trust.

Pathology provides a full microbiology, clinical biochemistry, immunology, haematology, blood transfusion, laboratory haemophilia, and cellular pathology service to the patients of EKUHFT, general practitioners, community healthcare and private hospitals in east Kent.

The major proportion of blood science analyses, including all work arising from primary care, takes place in purpose-built facilities on the WHH site. East Kent Hospitals is participating in the Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STP) for Kent and Medway to develop an integrated pathology service across the county.

Digital pathology for reporting of diagnostic work is being implemented with a go live date in 2025.

The post-holder will have full GMC registration, will be a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists or equivalent, and be on the Specialist Register or within six months of receiving the certificate of completion of training (CCT) at the time of the interview.

The general responsibilities of the post will be those expected of a senior clinical employee of the Trust. These include provision of a first class clinical service, effective leadership to all staff involved in supporting the service, conducting clinical practice in accordance with the highest ethical standards, support for other clinical specialties and contribution to education and post graduate teaching.

The post holder will be expected to share the provision of service for East Kent with the other consultants. It is desirable to have a sub-specialty interest in one or more of the following: breast, skin, gastrointestinal, soft tissue and head and neck pathology. The post-holder will also be given flexibility within the existing structure to develop further sub-specialist interests.

The post holder will be required to:

- Participate as an active member of the East Kent Cellular Pathology Service and contribute to overall service provision, planning and development.
- Develop sub-specialty interest(s) as part of planned and agreed service development. Each sub-specialist area has a nominated Lead Pathologist and one or more deputies. Currently there is sub-specialist reporting of Lung, Skin, Head and Neck, Lymphoid, Endocrine, Lower and Upper GI, Breast, Gynae, Urology, Liver, Soft Tissue, Gynae and Non Gynae Cytology.

- Participate in Multidisciplinary Meetings which support specialty cancer services, becoming responsible for quality assurance in the relevant specialties.

- Participate in clinical audit. Internal audit takes place on a regular basis and there are appropriate facilities and secretarial support. Cellular pathology participates in external quality assurance schemes (EQA) for gynaecological cytopathology, breast screening pathology and general histopathology, Head &Neck pathology, bowel cancer screening, and gastrointestinal. The post holder would be expected to participate in the specialist EQAs required for this post. Periodic audit meetings are held with clinicians and within the department.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist that can deliver high quality care within a busy and acute inpatient environment. The post would be a static post within the Medical and Healthcare of the Older Person (HCOOP) team at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

Due to career development of existing staff, and service developments, we have some exciting opportunities for a static Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist post. This post would suit a Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist looking for a new challenge, or a Band 5 Occupational Therapist ready to further develop their skills and career.

You will be working as a key member of the team supporting patients on the acute medical and HCOOP wards, offering assessment and treatment plans, alongside discharge planning.

The successful candidate would be expected to:

• To manage a clinical caseload of patients, and be responsible for the assessment, formulation and evaluation of patient-centred care.

• To be able to facilitate safe discharge planning from hospital to the community.

• To deputise for Team Leader on clinical and managerial issues within the team

• To be actively involved with training and development within the Department in support of new graduate Occupational therapists, student therapists, therapy apprentices and support workers alongside other senior members of the team.

• Promote the role of OT and demonstrate the values to the members of the multi-disciplinary team.
