About the role:

• The accurate processing of financial transactions using the PS Financials accounting software is essential to this role, ensuring that correct procedures are followed as per KCSP financial guidelines.
• Assist the Finance Manager in maintaining effective and proper control of the school's bank accounts; this will include regularly reconciling bank statements and processing payment runs.
• Prepare school trip costings and use the ParentPay cashless payment system to set these up and record income received.
• Assist in the school month-end accounts process and the annual year-end process. A familiarity with the key financial reports will be needed for this: trial balance, balance sheet, management accounts etc.
• A strong and up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, together with a good level of IT competency, is required to maintain databases and provide accurate budgetary information.
• Support the Finance Assistant with the processing of school purchase orders.
• Maintain an accurate school asset register using the Parago asset management system, regularly updating the asset register and contributing to the annual school asset audit.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing & Finance Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to order processing, procurement, stock room management, renewals, financial record-keeping, accounts payable and receivable, administrative support, phone answering, budgeting assistance, communication with stakeholders, financial reporting, KPI tracking, CRM maintenance, and more. This role requires strong numerical and analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), excellent organisational abilities, and a high level of integrity when handling sensitive financial information. After successfully completing the standard 6-month probationary period this will be a Hybrid (4 days in our office, 1 day from home.

Key Responsibilities:

- Order Processing: Receive and process customer orders accurately, coordinate order fulfilment, track shipments, handle modifications, cancellations, and returns.

- Procurement: Process purchase orders, maintain inventory levels, develop sourcing strategies for cost-saving.

• Producing monthly management and service accounts together with other reports, within agreed timescales, seeking for increased efficiencies and investigating variances from budget, supplying full explanations thereof.
• Improving the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance.
• Providing analysis and delivering insight that assists managers in understanding services that are not recovering full costs of delivering the service, i.e. services in deficit.
• Providing effective commercial feedback, initiating change, to ensure key operational, commercial, and financial budgets are delivered
• Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams.
• Supporting the production of the annual budget and monthly forecast exercise working closely with finance colleagues and managers across the organisation to ensure that the process runs smoothly to set deadlines

Our client is seeking to hire a Claims Handler based in their Dover office. You will be the first and ongoing point of contact for customer claims, and will provide customer liaison for claims being managed at head office/regional office. Monday to Friday, 9-5pm (35hrs p/w), with an hour's lunch break. We are looking for someone who wants a career in insurance, as this role comes with extensive and ongoing training. Salary up to £24,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus a host of benefits to include:

Duties include:

• Obtain information from customers to intimate claims and assess appropriate claims route
• Manage claims from intimation to settlement including confirming cover, appointing suppliers and loss adjustors as required, keeping the customer informed and reaching satisfactory settlement
• Where outside delegated authority, intimate the claim and provide sufficient information for the Claims Team to proceed, appoint suppliers and loss adjustors as required and ensure the customer is kept informed and that the claim proceeds efficiently
• Record and manage claims and customer contact
• To develop and sustain effective working relationships with all stakeholders
• To comply with all applicable sections of the General Insurance Compliance Manual, Claims Guide and local agency procedures
• Obtain and maintain the relevant competencies and licences as required by the company and operate within your scope of authority at all times

Insurance experience isn't necessary (but is desirable), but the ideal candidate will have:

• Proven track record in delivering excellent customer service
• Ability to build relationships through effective written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good IT skills especially Microsoft Office and to use company systems
• Able to manage own workload and able to work effectively under pressure
• Problem solver, use own initiative, demonstrate honesty, integrity, care, skill and diligence

Full training provided (which may include additional travel and staying away from home in order to attend training courses). There is potential to complete CII qualifications and may be occasional weekend work to support agency events.
