We are looking to recruit a friendly and hard-working member of staff to work alongside our Shire horses and smaller equines on our open farm. Previous equine experience is essential, although training will be given to develop new skills, particularly in harness and ridden work.
You will be required to provide an exciting and unique visitor experience, educating the public and encouraging interaction with the horses. You will be part of a team who deliver a high standard of presentation across the farm site, providing a safe and enjoyable experience at this popular visitor attraction. What you'll be doing:
This role involves working alongside staff and volunteers to provide daily care for our Shire horses, ponies and donkeys, taking sole responsibility for the horses when covering days off and annual leave. This includes grooming, feeding, turning out and getting in, general handling and maintaining high presentation standards across the farm. Through lunging, long reining, riding, carriage driving and working horses from the ground, you will work alongside the horse team to exercise the horses, providing demonstrations for our visitors and assisting the driver during horse drawn carriage rides.

Home Farm is a busy visitor attraction, you will follow opening and running procedures to ensure timely opening of the farm, visitor safety and enjoyment are maintained throughout every day. Through engaging with the visitors, sharing your knowledge and promoting our rare breeds, you will help to deliver an excellent customer experience. You will work with the rest of the team to complete safety checks, maintain equipment and care for the farm.

Who we're looking for:
- Previous experience of working with horses, ponies or donkeys.
- Good knowledge of a horse’s daily needs and welfare standards, alongside an understanding of the health and safety aspects of working around horses.
- Friendly, customer focused approach, with experience in delivering high standards of customer service and presentation.
- Experience in working in a team and managing volunteers, as well as being able to work independently using initiative.

Are you a QIS Neonatal Nurse? We are looking for experienced, dedicated Neonatal Nurses to join our Team of bank nurses. NICU is a busy Tertiary, Surgical Neonatal unit caring for sick and premature babies from across East of England.

We are seeking passionate Band 6s qualified in specialty neonatal nurses to join our NICU team at CUH to deliver excellence in neonatal care. You will develop and maintain clinical, leadership and management skills in a highly supportive senior team structure working across the ITU, HDU and SCBU clinical areas.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is one of three tertiary centres for the Eastern Neonatal Network and part of the East of England Neonatal ODN. The unit admits babies requiring tertiary care including surgery and neurosurgery. This modern unit is part of the Perinatal Centre in The Rosie Hospital.

You will be responsible for providing safe and effective care to intensive care, high dependency and special care neonates without direct supervision in any situation. Assess care needs, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care. Participate in the supervision, mentorship and appraisal of pre and post registration staff. Regularly co-ordinate the management of the unit. Coordinate the management of special care, high dependency or intensive care room. Demonstrate leadership ability.

As a Care Assistant at Alex Wood House Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of care is provided to our residents.

About Alex Wood House Care Home:
Alex Wood House is an exceptional residential care home in Cambridge. At Alex Wood House we pride ourselves on our family-feel, attractive gardens and providing outstanding care to each of our residents.

We’re based in a quiet nook in Arbury on the north eastern side of Cambridge, three miles from the city centre. Our home offers 24-hour residential care and 36 en-suite bedrooms.

About the role:
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Care Assistant will provide high quality care to residents at all times paying attention to their specific and individual needs. You will participate in meaningful activities when possible, and ensure that care plans are appropriate to each resident’s needs.

Salary:
Nights - £13.23 per hour.

Shift Pattern:
Up to full time hours per week worked on a bank basis, 12-hour shifts worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday. Nights only.

Home Location:
Fortescue Road, Cambridge, England, CB4 2JS– 3 miles from the city centre.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Deliver care in the home, to ensure continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of residents’ care.
Assist residents during meal times ensuring they receive meals that are suitable.
Assist with and participate in all activities provided within the home to promote person centred care.
Attend and complete all training and qualifications (statutory, mandatory and developmental).
Training, Skills & Experience Required:

A passion for care – we’re looking for a genuinely caring individual who will put the needs of our residents first.
Experience in a Care position and being NVQ/QCF Level 2 Diplomas in Health & Social Care qualified is highly desirable – but we can support you to achieve all qualifications required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
