What Will Be Your Day to Day Tasks?
The contact centre operator role in our contact centre is primarily focused on helping customers over the telephone. The role may involve some written correspondence by email and some administrative work.
The work we do in our contact centre is centred around helping customers to understand what is required of them to export fisheries products to Europe after the EU exit, helping them to create the required documents for these exports and also assisting fishers to meet their obligations in recording their catch details to provide accurate data to the Marine Management Organisation.
It is not a sales environment and we do not set rigid targets for time spent on calls.
The contact centre operator will follow set procedures and will exercise some independent judgement in carrying out instructions, under general supervision. Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:
- Dealing with incoming calls from customers, gathering or providing information according to the customer's needs
- Some written correspondence, usually to confirm the contents of a telephone conversation or provide links to web pages or other resources
- Carrying out administrative procedures and processes
