Your new role

Your new role will be as a senior site engineer on a £36m housing project. You will be responsible with all aspects of engineering duties including setting out, managerial responsibilities, quality control, supervising subcontractors, HSEQ, progress reporting, measuring / ordering materials, managing labour and reporting to the Contracts Manager.

As you are taking a senior role within the project you will be expected to monitor and supervise work and ensure proper practice is taking place. You will be essential in the successful completion of this project, and you will work alongside the site manager to achieve project success.


What you'll need to succeed

Previous site engineering experience and a qualification in a construction related field will be essential for this role. Experience within the build sector and previous civil projects will be highly desirable.
Technical knowledge of setting out duties as well as interpreting architectural drawings and then practically applying these drawings to the day-to-day operations on site will be required. Attention to detail will help you to ensure the project is completed to an excellent standard. Proficient time management and organisational skills will help you day to day. You must have a valid CSCS / SMSTS card in order to be considered.

Perform the Service Operation function for the ICT Service Delivery Team’s Service Catalogue carry out the activities and processes required to manage services at agreed levels to business users and customers. - Provide 3rd line support for all Microsoft M365 issues and requests. The role includes receipt and processing, or escalation of system change requests.

As a valued member of our team, the Service Engineers primary duties will be to carry out preventive and reactive maintenance on the Rail Delivery Fleet (RDF) at our maintenance depot.
As part of the Service Engineers role, you may also be required to attend a Local Distribution Centre (LDC) or on the rail infrastructure to undertake fault finding/repairs. Outline of Job
1. To undertake scheduled maintenance activities effectively and efficiently, to include reactive maintenance and remedial works as required, to ensure the availability of the Rail Delivery Fleet to meet operational demands. All operational and maintenance activities shall be carried out in accordance with the vehicle maintenance instructions (VMI) and established good engineering practice.
2. Have knowledge and experience and be competent at working on and maintaining - diesel engines & associated equipment, hydraulic, electrical, PLC and electro/mechanical systems.
3. Have experience of electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical system fault diagnosis. All rectification work shall be undertaken with a view to preventing a recurrence of the problem.
4. Ensure that all faults, repair, and other engineering data is fed back for record purposes clearly and concisely, along with the general condition of the equipment/plant, also ensure that time sheets, holiday requests, completed work orders, reports, spares requisitions etc are passed for processing in accordance with the local rules.
5. You will be required to gain a comprehensive working knowledge of the relevant equipment and control system operation, their interaction, as and when required imparting such skills and knowledge to the team for its benefit and those of the company.
6. On occasion you will be required to work at various locations within the UK, e.g., to attend a Local Distribution Centre (LDC) or on the rail infrastructure to undertake fault finding/repairs.
7. There will be a requirement to participate in a “standby” rota (covering the weekend period) or separately to provide telephone assistance (help desk) from Saturday to Friday. Both the “standby” and help desk service are undertaken by all maintenance personnel to meet the requirement of our client.
8. Assist with the integration of new/replacement/stand-in personnel into the team and maintain a positive interest in the welfare of the other team members.

Working as part of a team and assisting the Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for attending gas escapes and carrying out appropriate repairs. You’ll need to have exceptional customer service skills, be extremely enthusiastic and have the ability to promote safe working practice, whilst driving efficiency and maintaining compliant ways of working.

Your day to day duties will include:

- Assisting the Team Leader
- Attending gas leaks
- Groundwork
- Excavations and reinstatements
- Utilising appropriate signing, lighting and guarding
- Ensuring cable avoidance
- Delivering equipment and tools where required
- Patrol and plant protection
- Working on deep excavations up to 2.5m
- Working on a standby rota system

To carry out this role you must have a full valid drivers licence and be able to be clean shaven every day for health and safety. The role will also include shift working and occasion weekend work.

The ROLE
Due to continued expansion of their European Headquarters an opportunity has arisen for a talented Applications Engineer /Technical Engineer to join their team specialising in rentals of vapour combustion units, incinerators and flares. Focusing on technical support through applications solutions, proposals creation, technical support (both office and customer facing) and through supporting the whole process. You will be responsible for;

* Gain an understanding of customer's technical requirements
* Building good sound customer relationships
* Assist with preparing technical and commercial proposals for customers
* Proposal/"loose fit" design
* Following up on proposals and attending clarification meetings
* Presenting both internally and to customer's at their location
* Internal project support
* Visiting established and potential customer plant. This will involve foreign travel
